Working with Empire was a real pleasure and easy. I initially called them to have an egress window and new front door installed. Joe told me that I did not need an egress window and did not want me to buy something I did not need. Joe did install a new front door. Joe and Lisa were honest, professional and everything went smoothly. I highly recommend Estate Property Services.

I hired Estate Handyman Services to replace some rotten trim but then decided to replace my front door as well. They were extremely courteous and efficient and the workmanship was excellent. I highly recommend them.

The experience started our fine. Good price, but price isn't everything. After a long winter showed up with the doors and needed to do some additional trim work. Overall work was extremely sloppy. Lock on one door doesn't align, trim isn't aligned to the frame, paint job on the doors is blotched and sloppy, residue from something was left on a window, the wrong screws were used on locks. They gouged me on the bad trim job, and they left my floors and deck a mess. The final straw -- they wouldn't come back to finish the paint job until the end of next week. Unreal. I will not use them again.

"We are surprised to receive negative feedback since at the end of both work days this customer said he was pleased with the doors. The interior/exterior trim on two patio doors required replacement since the previous doors were undersized our price was very fair for the materials and 1/2 day labor it took to install. He wanted to hire us to paint the trim, but we had already scheduled work for the remainder of the week. We asked which day the following week would work, and at that time we could make any adjustments that may arise once the doors settled. If he was so dissatisfied with the paint job on the doors why hire us to paint the trim?"

Never finished the job, so I told them to get lost! They left a huge pile of junk in my yard, and charged me over $1200.00 for less than a days work. Charged me for taking down a shed (well a tree took it down). Him and his son "stacked" the debris (probably about 3 hours for a boy and a man. Charged me for a building permit, when the town told me they went in to get a refund. Shady company....don't trust them!

"The shed was not built (job not completed) since the town denied the permit due to zoning restrictions. A portion of the bill was associated with building permit application, drawings, permit fee and time spent trying to acquire the permit. The town claimed they would not issue a refund, but later did mail back a small portion. The debris was not removed due to unexpected snow/ice which made it too dangerous to dispose of safely due to severe site locations."

I feel like I am reviewing a different business that all the other complimentary reviewers. I have to pay someone to remove poorly done carpentry work. I had scheduled Joe on a day I would be home. Unable to come he rescheduled on a day I was not there. I stood ready to answer questions by phone. He ran into a couple of dilemmas but didn't call and made poor decisions by himself - in one doubling the material cost of the estimate (he mismeasured). He explained he NEVER called anyone while on the job - it took too much time. And that is why he preferred to come when owner was home!!!

"This project was scheduled over several days since it could not be completed in a day. Cell phone service at her home was very poor, and when we tried to contact her at work on her cell phone, we could not reach her, as she had no service there. Regarding the material cost increasing we had explained that in replacing rotted wood we could not be sure what would be required until all of the damaged wood was removed. It turned out to be more than could be seen on the surface. We tried to rectify the situation on two occasions but were dismissed abruptly. We did not charge this customer for any of the work that she was displeased with."
