We are giving the lowest rating because we absolutely did not get what we paid for. Long story, so bottom line up front: I would recommend you get any verbal contract with Chris (owner) in writing, and to pay online through Angi, or by check, rather than pay cash. We made a verbal agreement for a deep cleaning, and the estimate was about twice that of a regular clean, because of the extras. The extras were things like clean windows, clean A/C vents & ducts, ceiling fans, tops of kitchen cabinets, microwave, and disinfect all surfaces, to name a few of the deep clean extras we discussed at walkthrough. I received an estimate, but had not budgeted for a deep clean (from $550-$750 for our size home), so we took out some of the extras: no windows, and not the A/C duct thorough clean, but I DID ask for the floor vents to be vacuumed while doing walkthrough and got a verbal yes. We also excluded several rooms in basement, the master shower and Jacuzzi bath, and office. The employee who did the walkthrough and saw/heard what we had agreed upon did not come the day of cleaning. Two other employees did, who hadn t done the walkthrough. This may have been part of the issue; don t know. Also, the owner s wife was to be part of the cleaning crew that day, as it was a big job, but they had no babysitter, so she could not clean either on 6 OCT. We had gotten the price down to $500, so I was expecting a deep clean, as our house is not a mansion, with the things we had discussed. When Chris & two employees were packed and ready to go after 5.5 hrs., Chris wanted me to inspect. I looked around, but hardly had a chance for a full inspection, as they were ready to go and he had told me earlier that they had another job. He sensed my hesitancy and looked me in the eyes and said more than once that he would be back the next day at 4pm to clean the vents. I paid, and did not see Chris the next day. NO text or call, just a no-show. I sent him some info. with pictures about the things that weren t done, (ceiling fans were filthy; hair all over bathroom floor; inside microwave dirty, dust/dirt behind doors, a/c floor vents dusty/dirty), and he said he would be back the following day at 1000. NO-SHOW AGAIN & no word. My husband got involved and set an appt. for 11 OCT at 2pm. Again, no-show & no explanation. We then made a complaint to HomeAdvisor/Angi (that is where he got our #), and he refused to come finish the job or pay us back some of the money, as we did NOT get a deep clean at all. He used semantics, to claim he did not say he would do the A/C ducts as part of the deal. I just wanted him to vacuum the floor vents and not do the interior ducts, but there was clearly a misunderstanding. Who pays half a grand for a regular cleaning? I did
