How We Got Started

I chose to work in this industry because I have over 25 years of experience in residential construction and have installed or worked on everything from foundations to shingles and literally everything in between. Using the latest technology (Infrared , Moister Meters etc.) and software combined with my extensive background in the industry I will give you the confidence and knowledge you need to make one of life’s hardest decisions, buying a home. I realize how stressful home buying can be and I strive to not only inform you but to make this a fun experience as well. I will take the time to explain all components of the house and answer any questions you may have. Customer Service is my top priority, that is why I only do 1 Inspection a day. This way we won’t feel rushed and can take our time and be thorough. .

Erik was very knowledgeable about everything. He was very personable. He also did stuff I did not know was a good idea during a home inspection like taking pictures of serial numbers of the appliances and having a complete list of filter and maintenance schedules.

We have used them twice now for inspections and will continue to use them as needed. I would recommend them to everyone we know due to how detailed, honest, and full of integrity Erik is. His attention to detail (every single thing) comes out to a report well over 50 pages long with details on why it's an issue and how severe the issue is ranging from caution to dangerous. Like I said, would highly recommend him to anyone who needs an inspection. A true 10/10 and five stars.

The inspector missed things that I learned about when the seller submitted their due diligence docs. He failed to notice the fireplace did not work or that a portion of the deck was blocking the dryer vent. He was also supposed to inform me when he had an hour left on the job, so I could attend the last 30 minutes. However, he never called and, therefore, I was not able to learn where the water shut off was located, etc. We also agreed on a price for the inspection and a price for the sewer scope, but when I cancelled the sewer scope (because the seller just had one performed), he refunded me less than our agreed upon price.

Erik was quick to respond to my project, he was very friendly and affordable. We had a quick turnaround time that he was also able to meet. During the inspection he was very thorough and was able to provide a detailed report including images of everything including serial numbers and important information regarding our appliances and misc items in our home for future use. Erik did a great job. His inspection was very thorough and informative and we were very happy with his level of detail in his report. We did not end up getting the house but will be using him again. Update: 09/22/2020 Update to a previous review- Our inspector was Erik with exclusive home evaluations Inspections twice when looking to buy a home. The first time we did not end up purchasing the home and used him again for the home we ended up buying. We thought he was great because he accommodated us with some scheduling issues that came up the first time, we used him and thought he was thorough. However, after moving into our home we discovered two things that an inspector should not have missed. 1st the garage floor had a huge crack and was unleveled as though the middle had sunken in. The floor did have a rug covering part of it, but you could see the crack coming from under the rug. If he would have walked all the way into the garage as we did once we were moved in, he would have seen this and felt the big bump/unleveled floor. 2nd the spigot on the side of our house is protruding with a pipe show. We figured it just needed to be foamed but with a closer look, you can see that the pipe had a hole in it and when turned on it was gushing water from the pipe. Again, he could not have inspected this side of the house or this would have been in his report. We discovered it because we were looking for the front spigot to water our grass. I emailed him about the garage and did not get a response. I called him about the burst pipe. He apologized and offered to come and solder it. Explained through our home warranty we hired a plumber but still had to pay a $75.00 dollar service fee and that it would be nice if he could just cover that. He agreed and stated that he would also like to see it for a learning experience. Twice he has told us he would bring us the check and has not shown up nor has he called. Yes, we would have still bought the house but if this was on the inspection report we could have had addressed it then. Instead, we found it the day after we moved in. And after all this, not sure the home warranty will cover the cost of the plumber/fix because they are saying that it is an issue outside of the house and not in. The plumber is fighting with the warranty company on our behalf so we still might have to come out of pocket more than the $75.

    HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities.
  10. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup)
    We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
