Wood Flooring Repair or Partial Replacement
I have waited several months to write this review, as I have been hoping Andrew would respond to my complaints and resolve them. I hired Andrew to fix some issues with my hardwood floors. The issues were pretty minor, but troublesome to me. There was a spot in front of the fridge where the floorboards moved and made noise every time i step on them, after we had an incident with some spilled milk. There were a couple of other spots where the floorboards moved a bit when stepped on, and some cracks in between floor boards that I wanted filled. Andrew fixed the spot in front of the fridge, and filled some of the cracks, but was not able to fix the other two spots. I called him back a few days later to let him know the other spots were not fixed, and asked if he would come back. We had paid him $500, which felt very expensive for the amount of work that was done. He said of course he would be happy to come back, and that it would be the following week. We never heard from him again, and then we went out of town for a few weeks. I followed up him with when we returned, and he did not respond. Then, the main spot that he fixed in front of the fridge started squeaking again. I called and texted several times to let him know this, and he has just completely ignored me. It is incredibly frustrating, and I honestly feel super ripped off. I would not recommend him.

Andrew from Executive Floor Coverings, LLC was very responsive and very professional when we submitted our Home Advisor request. He provided a timely and extremely reasonable estimate for what seemed to me a difficult job. He was able to begin work when we were ready for him. He communicated with us continuously, letting us know the process each step of the way. He removed staples and tack strips, sanded down the original floor, stained and sealed it twice to our custom specifications as promised. We couldn't be happier and will happily refer him to anyone seeking to refinish hardwood floors or wanting new floors. Thanks Andrew!

Overall great customer service, and quite pleased with final product. His quote was far lower than competetitors, and though there were a few places where I felt the work was less than what I'd expected, or what we had discussed, I feel we got what we paid for which was just what we needed. (specifically we had Talked about making a "creak" go away with some tlc and it remains, a corner near our baseboard heater was neglected and I can see an edge there, lastly there were one or two places that we had discussed being filled in, and this was not completed. He did give me info on how to do it myself.) *he'd let an employee go (for good reason) right around the time our job was completed and I believe this may have played a role in our experience*

If you're looking for a guy that DOES THE WORK (not farming it out to subs you've never met) and is there from start to finish - Executive Floor Coverings is it. I hired Andrew because he was the one doing the estimate, he did the work, he was responsible for the outcome. The job was done in the time estimated. He made recommendations and he was spot on. Excellent workmanship and value. Plan on using him again for our other flooring projects.

We love our new hardwood floors. The wood is beautiful and Andrew did a great job installing it. He made sure we were totally pleased with the finished product. We enjoyed having him in our home. If we do any more carpet replacement, he will get the job.

I asked him to refinish my hardwood floors throughout the whole first floor of the house. It looks great and I love the natural color of the floors. He then said he could do these transition pieces from the living room to the dinning room. These pieces are splintering and he broke off a piece of wood that he glued back on very poorly. I also asked for new tile to be placed in the bathroom. It is not that big of a bathroom about 30tiled of 12x12 tiles total. I got him all the materials for this project. He told me it would take a week to do the hardwood floors and tile. I left the house so he had all the time to redo it. I came back on Sunday and the tile was still not done. He failed to finish the tile in a timely manor and stretched this job out for 5 more days. He only came for 30 mins each extra day. Finally my husband got tired of him not getting the job done and him stating he was done, he kicked him out of the house. My husband had to finish the job.

"The only materials this couple purchased was the actual tile, I provided hadiboard, screws, mortar, grout and sealer. I tore out the old tile, hardiboard, not to mention two layers of vinyl tile covered in black mold. I bought new baseboards and quarter round. I left him with the sealer and caulk for nail holes in the trim(he said he had no problem with that). Long story short I did these nice folks a solid and then they stiffed me $200.00. I lost money on the tile job because my estimate went up after discovering the mold. The husband agreed to the extra money but did not want his wife to find out he was spending more. ??? He did not kick me."

Horrible Do not hire this guy, I paid Andrew to refinish/finish my hardwood floors. He did not do what he promised. He did not fill in the wood holes properly, leaving sharp holes, gaps, sharp spots due to his machines braking some of the wood. I have forced to cancel the second check I gave him, I texted him saying I would be more than to pay him once he fixed this horrible work. He promises he would and never contacted me, I called him, texted him and he never did anything about it. My house is huge so I believe the job was too big for him, he lies about his work experience, had workers that did not know what they were doing. We have a recording of Andrew bragging about what a great job he did and that we should pay him an extra $100 for filling the holes. He guarantees his work, I have all the text messages between him and me where he says he can handle the job, promising to fix his mistakes and also him never reaching out to me. I waited for months for his company to make things right and nothing. Stay away from this guy, he did not care my kids could cut their feet walking on the floors, he did not care to get the rest to the money we agreed on. He has workers with zero experience working for him. I have pictures, text messages, videos. This guy is a liar and a fraud.

"I tried to help these people with the terrible problems they created for themselves by trying to go the cheep rout. They installed the wood. Tavern grade red oak. The National Wood Flooring Association does condone the use of tavern grade oak in residential applications because of its instability. Tavern/cabin grade oak is meant for restaurants and bars places where you always have shoes on. I waved any guarantees when I saw the materials they had used. Of course they later denied this, but I told them no guarantee. I did say that I would do everything I could to make the floors safe for them and their children. They contacted me a month late"

Andrew was professional and personable. We felt very comfortable with his honesty and care during the estimate which made us decide to hire him. We were not disappointed. He started the job early, told us exactly what to plan for and kept to the schedule. He even stayed an extra day to fix the gaps and inconsistencies. We hired him to refinish our floors and there were some issues with the original job with gaps and putty used at the wrong stage. I would definitely hire him again.

Wood Flooring Repair or Partial Replacement
Andrew repaired/patched and refinished our red oak floors. The floor was in terrible condition with several large holes that someone had cut through the floor with a circular saw to get under the house for duct work in the past. There was also a large section that had to be sanded/scraped where someone had used nasty black mastic adhesive to adhere linoleum. Andrew was able to patch the holes by stitching in a mix of older and newer flooring. After sanding, the patches are basically seamless. Andrew's work was above and beyond our expectations. He is courteous and timely. He called immediately (after my Home Advisor request) and made an appointment to give us an estimate the next day. He was in the house working on the floors the following Monday. Andrew takes pride in his craftsmanship; you can tell he wants the homeowner to be satisfied with his work.

Andrew did a fantastic job sanding and refinishing my walnut flooring. It was in pretty bad shape and was a prefinished wood so really tough to get sanded but the result is amazing! Super impressed and definitely recommend him to others. I had no idea the floors could look so good again!
