Expert Roofing and Remodeling

Customer Dissat - Member Company - When we contracted with Expert Roofing we were told it would be a week to 10 days to complete the job. We were asked to get approval for the container to be placed on the street for a week which the HOA approved. We were also told they would provide Professional movers to move our belongings which we had packed in boxes. After a week it would have to be moved. The week was the request from Eli. At the end of a week the furniture was moved out of the container and placed in our garage. The men moving our furniture told us they were from the Lot (which is where you hire day labor, the Home Depot Lot). Our furniture was piled into our garage and sustained damage from being stacked carelessly by these men. Our blinds had been placed into the garage and were walked on by these supposedly movers. Expert Roofing did repair or replaced all items damaged. I hired the painter to remove some shelves in the master closet and repair the sheet rock. This was after he had finished the job he had been subcontracted to do. I paid this out of my pocket and was an agreement between the painter and myself. The contractor was upset because I did not go through him and he did not make anything from this separate job. However, this was not done until the painter had finished his contracted job with Expert Roofing. The relationship between the contractor and painter had deteriorated to the point that each was accusing the other of lying or not working. I was here every day and the painter was the only one I saw working daily. I was unhappy with the installation of the flooring. The flooring sub assured me that it simply had to settle. He gave me his personal number and said if I had any problems to call him. When the flooring in my office began to buckle, I called and he sent his technician out to look. The flooring sub told me the floor had not been properly leveled and that was Expert Roofing responsibility not his. Eli twice told me he would send the sub back however, we never heard from him again. Expert Roofing accused the flooring sub and he accused Expert roofing. So far as my unreasonable pace, This job was started in July to paint all cabinets, all walls in the house and replace the flooring. We were unable to move back into our home until the first week in September. I guess after two months I should have been more patient and not expected to be back in our home until four months. Expert roofing did repair our furniture and replaced our blinds. they also deducted the amount I paid to have our house cleaned and our hanging clothes cleaned. I did ask the painter to do some additional work for me after he finished the job he was doing for Expert Roofing but that was on his own time and was a separate agreement between him and me. We were led to believe that Expert Roofing was a company that had their own employees that were managed by a manager. We did not know they simply bid a job and then find subs to do the job. I am now in the process of having the cabinets professionally refinished, the flooring will be replaced by a professional flooring company, and our walls touched up by a professional painting company. This is costing me $40,000 and will easily be done in two weeks. Expert Roofing promised satisfaction but delivered nothing.

They just installed my roof this past week. Did an excellent job. Very communicative and friendly roofers. A great company to work with!

Their upfront and unbiased pricing was definitely awakening to the scams that the roofing industry is plagued with. Eli the Technician was extremely responsive, transparent, attentive, and reliable to deliver as committed. Highly recommend working with Eli.
