Write a ReviewThey gave me a "good deal" on moving from Kansas City to NYC even though I overlooked their license on their company not being in compliance -- and looked through all their insurance certifications -- everything was in order but they were driving on a invalid license that was still coming in the mail. Regardless, they gave me a good price and I paid every cent. The move was supposed to have at least 2 guys show up -- instead only 1 person came. My proxy was there for 10 hours while 1 guy moved an entire 1 bedroom condo. Every single item was damaged, and he tried to leave several belongings in Kansas City. On the day of pickup, my proxy was there for over 10 hours since only one mover came. The mover was several hours late. He tried to leave without taking necessary items such as my couch cushions and part of my bed frame. There were several items left in Kansas City in the hallways of the building, such as random chairs, brooms, mops, cushions. On delivery, again the movers were more than 3 hours late. I did my best to help the movers by asking the people next door to move their cars so they could park outside my building and stood at the door of my apartment, taking most of the heavy boxes from them and placing them myself. Before actually moving, they tried to charge me $250.00 for the 20 steps though I already told you about it and it was included in the price. They had me talk to the business owner who said he would "waive" the fee as long as I tipped the guys, which I was planning on doing anyway for a good job. But this last-minute fee was illegitimate since we already discussed it. When all the goods were moved, the movers said they "forgot their tools," and had to "go to another job" so they couldn't re-assemble the bed frame, before proceeding to ask me for a gratuity. More concerningly, nearly every single major item was damaged. My desk was completely destroyed and unusable. My office chair, couch, and side chair all have tears in the upholstery. Items such as lamps were bent so badly they no longer stand up straight. The two pieces of furniture they had to potentially disassemble were my desk and bed frame - the desk was destroyed and the bed frame was missing several nuts and bolts to keep it together. The coffee table was also damaged with the wood table tops cracked and out of the frame.
Absolutely horrible. Please stay away from this company. The owner and I had an agreement of the movers helping me move my boxes all included in the original price along with the move about of state. Everything was okay, but when the movers came to drop off MULTIPLE BOXES WERE BROKEN AND MISSING. It looked as if they threw my boxes in the truck and like something was on top of them. I do not understand how majority of my boxes were ripped and open. I packed all my kitchen ware in bubble wrap and paper. Somehow almost all of my kitchen equipment is broken. All boxes has damage, over $500 worth of my belongings were damaged and completely broken. On top of that the movers said to move the boxes up one flight of stairs itâ s an additional $200. Which was not discussed at the time of pick up. They were nasty, talking in their language. At one point one of the men snatched my phone when I said I would call the â owner . The mover said I can file a claim for all my broken items. It is been over 2 months since the move, the email and phone number provided for the claims have been out of service or non delivered as the email does not exist. The owner Abe does not answer any of my calls and has now blocked my number. This was absolutely the most horrible experience and especially if you are a young single women please stay away. I did not expect all my items to be broken and with moving cost i had to purchase all new items for my home. They were unnecessary aggressive and pushy. I will be moving forward with legal action because of this experience.
