Nick said he will be their the next day. Came one & half hours late. Told him I wanted the floors to look like existing floors that had a golden oak like finish. He said you dont have to stain, 3 coats of water base poly would come very close to existing floor, maybe just a little lighter. The first day he sanded and put the first coat of poly on. I had to give him a paint roller & paint brush because he didnt have them. Said he would be back the next day to finish. He never showed up. I looked at the floor the next day, the poly was put on so thin, like he was trying to stretch what was left in the can. Tried calling Nick, his answering machine was off. When he showed up 2 days later and one & half hour late, I told him I wanted the floors resanded & stained. Told him I talk to the poly rep (bona). Rep said without stain, floor would look like natural wood. After arguing with Nick, we agreed on an additional cost to resand & stain. Said he would come in two days. He never showed up. Tried calling, his answering machine is still turned off. Hired Final Touch Flooring and the floors came out beautiful.

These reviews of Nick cannot possibly be verified. He came late for our scheduled appointment to do our floors totally unprepared without a business card and without any markings on the truck. After waiting for his helper to show he wanted payment in full so he could go rent a floor sander. He kept asking if we would leave so he could do the work. Odd request. After pretending to be hand sanding the edges he kept asking for payment in full for supplies. He also kept insisting he will be back with materials if we pay in advance in full but that we shouldn't be there when he does the sanding.

Did what he said he would do. Trim was work well done. Entire floor was well done. Very little mess. I hired him for future basement laminate.

Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had with a contractor. After getting a price on the phone, nick and pete show up at ten AM to refinish my wood floors. No company truck, just a SUV that disgorges a sanding machine. Nick disappears and Pete spend four hours sanding the floors, but not the edges. Next day nick texts that instead on 10, he'd be here at 12. 12 comes and goes and I'am getting texts 10 more minutes etc. At one, Pete calls to say that he's lost in my area, in spite of having been here the day before. He finally shows up with Nick supposedly right behind him....which turns out to be one hour behind him. I'am looking to get a satin finish and we leave nick and Pete to finish sanding and refinishing. Upon returning to the house, my wife and I were shocked to see a floor that looked like raw wood, with little if any finish on it. I mean splinter type raw wood! I immediately call Nick, it goes to message and no phone call back. Finally the next day after me calling again and again, Nick decides to return my call and states that he was pleased with the job. A rather heated conversations follows and after I reject paying for more poly, he agrees to return and give us a coat of semi-gloss. In and out after 30 minutes of rolling the floor with the semi which improved the floor 100%. Nicks excuse for the poor results was that the paint companies took "all the good stuff " out of the poly and it does not work as well. First of all, if the satin looks so bad, why offer it to your clients? Now at this point, Nick is insisting that he gave the floor three coats of the satin poly. This in the space of 2 1/2 hours which included time to sand, refinish, dry and redo. My opinion of that statement is that I only found one empty can of poly in the trash bag that he left at my house and the can itself was for 525 sq ft, which was the approx size of my job. I'm addition, after returned the day he originally finished the floors, I found a puddle of finish next the stove leg. A pile of watery stuff that did not dry. It was obvious to me that "IF" he in fact had done three coats, they were watered down to stretch the can to three times it's recommended coverage. When doing that final coat, he had a paintbrush in his pocket for the edges......which he never did. After he left, I actually went to H D and bought a can of semi poly myself with a applicator and gave the entire area a fresh coat. While doing that I realized while doing the edges and area under the radiator that he had never even bothered to hand finish any of the corners and edges. This was the worst experience I've ever been involved with and disappointing since he had been recommended by my contractor at is point I'am still weighing my options for formal a complaint to the local licensing agencies.

The floor has no shine at all. There are spots and uneven places from the finish. The workers did not put down any protection over the foyer floor and left it very messy.

I saw both sides of work. One job was acceptable and the second job was well below par. I was told that he understood the term refinish as cleaning / buffing of the floor and applying a coating over the top. All marks and even drops of paint can be seen under the new finish. No half way price compromise could be met to redo it correctly, he wanted the full amount again to refinish to a acceptable standard. Check his sanding work before he applies the finish. First job was monitored and second one was not.

Nick was great. Price was great. My floors look great! Would definitely recommend Nick!

Nick is fast and very good what he does in and out not much clean up after. His equipment is good high end machines.

Professional and reliable. Worked on a Sunday and was on time. The waterbased finish Bona he used looks fantastic. Very satisfied.

Nick came yesterday and today to "redo" the wood floors in 3 rooms. This is the only person that anyone should use, ever, for floor refinishing. If I were FORCED to say something negative about his visit, this is what I would have to say.... I will eventually need electrical work, plumbing and some sanding. Alas, Nick does not do those jobs, so I will have to find someone as amazing as Nick in those fields. i do not think I will. That&apos;s bad. He is wonderful. OMG, so wonderful. So are the floors. Brought a nice worker, Pete. THANKS< NICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They were on time, polite and professional. They did an outstanding job.

Nick came in with the lowest bid (by far!) but you would never know it from the finished result. Above-average work for a below-average price. He was friendly and professional, did the work even more quickly than he quoted, and even helped us avoid making a huge mistake by convincing us to refinish all rooms on the first floor -- he actually threw in one room for free to keep it under our budget! We have another project coming up next year, and we will be going straight to Nick! (Also: he doesn&apos;t charge extra for water-based finishes, like most do.)

Nick did an awesome job refinishing my hardwood floors. We also had a small deck and handicap ramp in front of our house that had been painted white a long time ago, he was able to strip down all the old paint and stain the wood instead! It looks so much better that way!

Nick added additional oak floor in a hall closet and made it look like it was there from the beginning. Great job all around. Responded immediately and returned phone calls immediately as well.

We called various companies until we found Nick at Extreme Hardwood Flooring. He gave us the best price for Sq. footage right on the phone! He came quickly and did the job on the date as promised. Floors were refinished and stained and the job was professional and outstanding! We received a lot of compliments on the floors. You will not be disappointed and his price is on point.

The work on our hardwood floors was very well done. However, we paid extra for some furniture moving. They moved the furniture for working on the floors but never returned to move it back in place. I am physically challenged and had to get help moving it back in place. They left three jackets and after several calls to Nick, never picked them up. I recommend holding back the up front money for this service until it is performed.

Nick made my floors beautiful. He went above and beyond what we asked to ultimately deliver the perfect black floors, and was fairly priced and communicative. Would definitely recommend him for any job.
