I hired Mason Arts Co. for a fixed-bid project to build a stone ranch entrance in Llano after checking references. Elias represented himself as legitimate and professional, and everything sounded straightforward. I paid a $9,500 down payment. The company had cinder blocks delivered and dug footings for a stone wall, though the footings were not to plan. After that, Elias failed to show up for the scheduled concrete pour and stopped progressing the job. Assuming he no longer wanted to complete the work, I offered a reasonable resolution: I would keep the cinder blocks, pay $2,000 for the work performed, and receive the remainder of the down payment back. Instead, Elias kept the entire $9,500 and had the cinder blocks picked up. I?m not vindictive and don?t leave reviews lightly, but this is not a business dispute ? it?s theft. I?m posting this to warn others so it doesn't happen to anyone else.
