Simon saved my floors! I had another contractor install real bamboo flooring on slab which they glued down. They didn't clean the glue as they were laying down the floor. They cleaned the glue at the end by which time the glue had cured and the cleaning off the glue completely ruined the finish. I tried to refinish the floor myself and made it worse. When I called around, most contractors refused to take the job saying they won't touch a bamboo floor. Simon agreed to come to take a look. He said he will do his own testing and will only take the job if his testing confirms that my situation is salvageable. He came that night, took a board with him to do his own testing overnight at home and then came back with an extremely reasonable quote next day. He did not charge for any of his time for testing itself. Then he managed to squeeze in my work over next 3-4 days to finish the job with 2 coats. The floor looks amazing now. He is upfront an honest and clearly extremely skilled at what he does. I would not hesitate to hire him for flooring work again.

Simon and his team were fantastic! Simon was great to work with. The results came out exactly as he promised, in the timeline he quoted and there was only a thin layer of dust. I had them add wood which he matched to my existing floors and they added wood treads to my stairs. They then sanded and stained everything to match. I Highly recommend FSG!!!

I received about 10 estimates with top contractors and while discussing the project (sand/refinish, 2k sq ft floor & installing new bannisters). I chose FSG because of the professionalism, knowledge of work and materials. I used bona for all coats and, as the contractor said, the final result is beautiful. I could not be happier with the work, timeliness (finished before promise date!). I will be recommending FSG to everyone I know. You will not regret choosing this company!

This company did a great job on taking carpet out of the entire first floor in a house, minus the kitchen and entrance area, I purchased and replacing with hardwoods. They also sanded the existing hardwoods and matched them perfectly with the new wood in refinishing them. My original plan was to only sand part of the existing floor that had been exposed to the sun the most. Though halfway through the project I changed my mind and wanted all existing areas sanded and refinished. No problem! Not only did they do the extra work, they still stayed on schedule and finished on time. The owne4 of the company and all of his employees were very nice, professional and answerEd all of my questions (and there were a lot). All in all a great contractor that is hard to beat.

Floors are beautiful but had some communication issues. Ask questions before starting the job. Issues with my pets, use of electric panel without permission and equipment storage.

Simon and his team did an excellent job on my hardwood floors. I feel like I live in a brand new home. The difference is that significant. I especially liked how willing the crew was to explain every step of the process and answer all of our questions. They addressed all our concerns in a very professional manner and gave us lots of great advice on caring for our floors. The work was completed very quickly and we are thoroughly enjoying the new look and feel of our refinished floors.
