Flue Flusher Chimney Service

We've worked twice with Flue Flusher: once to bring a chimney up to specs and again to prep for a wood stove install. Both times, they've been prompt, efficient, cheerful, and so helpful. The most recent job, the crew were merry as Christmas elves, and extremely generous with their time in explaining and helping us research the steps we needed to take. They always clean up after a job, and leave minimal impact on the house and family for the day. Bruce (owner) and Mark (helper) were prompt to respond to our needs under time pressure (selling a house which needed a new chimney cap and some other masonry repairs). They showed up on time, got the job completed (at 1/3rd the cost of competitorâ s quote for same job) and followed up as needed. Highly recommend!

On 03/01/2021 they performed a chimney sweep and inspection. At that time, they identified cracks in the flue of our wood burning chimney. They then repaired the cracks by installing a liner system and filling the space around the flue and the liner with concrete and vermiculite. They then attached the liner to the wood burning fireplace and packed the gaps with fiberglass insulation. The fiberglass is visible in the flue indicating that it would be exposed to the heat from the fire and thus releasing toxic chemicals and and potentially start a fire within the home (we noticed some charring at the base of the fiberglass and are lucky our house has not yet caught fire as is). Also, since the installation the entire house has smelt like a campfire as the damper no longer works on the fireplace and the smell continuously drafts in. Additionally, there is a continuous leak of water coming from the flue since your work. Furthermore, they capped the chimney with inadequate material and did not leave enough space for a proper draft of the fireplace meaning the house gets smoke pouring into it for the first few minutes until the heat of the fireplace overcomes this lack of space at the cap. Per NFPA 15.9.17 the cap is half of the height it should be. The crown coat is not a true . I have tried every modality of contact. I have called their business from 6 different phone numbers and realized they have blocked my personal cell phone number. I have followed the Contact Us link multiple times and sent multiple messages. They said they would come out in early September but never showed up and when I called back from another number, and I was told they had more important jobs to handle.

They came as requested and took care of a chimney leak. I would recommend them for that type of work.

I was so happy because we did lose power and because of their service I was able to have a fire and stay warm. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Everyone who sees this should use them. If I could have given 10 stars I would have.

Gordon was able to fit us into his already busy schedule with a winter storm approaching. He was extremely courteous and professional. He explained the process and completed the task in a very timely manner! We were very satisfied with the outcome and would recommend.

Job called for chimney cleaning and insert cleaning. Very prompt, polite, and knowledgeable and respectful. They put protective covering on the carpet to protect and when job was finished there was no mess. Pricing was very fair in my opinion. I will definitely use them again.
