The project was installing custom railings for interior stairs and a loft area. Jim understood what needed to be done and worked with me to figure out exactly what would make the most sense. He was at the site every morning and left at the end of the day after cleaning up. He was professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and the quality of his work was amazing. Project: Repair 2 cracked beams and place two new 16 ft long ceiling joist beams in garage. Project completed in about 3 hours. Jim came with well stocked truck of special tools and equipment. Methodical, professional and reliable. Will recommend to neighbors.

The work was completed to specification and looks great. We are extremely happy with the work performed. When we first met with Jim he was actively engaged in discussing the project, and suggested some improvements to our existing plan. The work began on schedule, but due to a couple of issues, took an extra day and a half. Jim showed up every day on time, and when the work went beyond schedule, he continued working until the job was completed. The bill for the job remained the same, and there were no unexpected surprises. We changed our minds on which newel post we wanted for the stairs, and Jim was happy to make the change. Most carpenters can frame a wall without any issue, but it takes a skilled carpenter to do finish/detail work. When he made a mistake on one of the many difficult angle cuts, he scrapped what he had cut, and started again. I've worked with many carpenters that would have used wood filler, or caulk, instead of taking the time to get it right. Jim did excellent finish work, and our stairs look phenomenal. The work turned out great, we never had to wonder when he'd be working, and the price was definitely fair; can't ask for anything more. We are very happy with the experience, and will definitely call on Jim again to assist in completing projects.
