Fairhaven Builders, Inc.

We hired Fairhaven Builders for a home remodel that was originally estimated at $75,000 and scoped to take 2 to 3 months. Six months later, we had spent over $200,000 and still had a significant amount of work left unfinished. At that point, we made the difficult decision to part ways with Fairhaven Builders and find another contractor, because we had lost confidence in their ability to complete the project in a timely and cost-effective manner. The cost overruns were the most alarming part of this experience. Going from a $75,000 estimate to more than $200,000 spent, with work still incomplete, is not something we can overlook. A project of this scale deserves transparent, ongoing budget conversations. The timeline slipped far beyond what was originally discussed. Project tracking was not organized. We were rarely given advance notice when milestones would shift, and delays simply compounded over time.
