Farra Painting

I think we have all made color choices in our home when painting ourselves that we have regretted only to then repaint ourselves at our own cost. In the situation above with Mary M., that was the reason for her displeasure with the job. Please note that in no way did Mary state that she disliked the professionalism, quality of the work, or cleanliness during the project, The facts are the job was started 10/2, Mary cancelled an appt. on 10/13, and job was finished this morning 10/19 in under the 3 week contracted period. The color issue was brought to my attention only two days ago on 10/17 when the "second" finish coat was done on the frames. I went to Benjamin Moore immediately and put a sample of the SW Emerald paint used (made by exact formula from BM) on the paint card from BM and it matched exactly. (I can send a picture of that proof if anyone interested) Mary is correct, once she saw that the paint from the can matched the paint chip card, she then asked what it would cost to repaint them. I told her I would discount it greatly from the $2475 contracted job and do it for only $600 in yet another color of her own choosing, I felt for her situation and If it had been my mistake in any way I would have repainted immediately without being asked. The fact is that is was her color choice alone, it was not fair for Mary to expect us to cover the cost of repainting for her color choice that did not turn out the way she expected when on a full wall of cabinets and against the color of her kitchen walls and counters.
