"Lori, I am sorry that you feel that way. We did more than 40% of the work as you are claiming. Sometimes it is hard for people to see what it actually takes to do a job. We also charged a premium rate to put you ahead in our schedule, as explained to you by our salesman. He told you from the beginning that we had a three week wait but AJ called and explained that you were being charged by your other contractor by the day for the delays. We moved our schedule around and paid our employees on an overtime rate to do your job on a Saturday to meet your needs. I have reviewed you invoice and your contract and it clearly states framing in the attic to support your roof line to correct the sagging in your ceiling. I am unsure why you say there were three parts for the job but that is definitely not the case. We never want a customer to feel they were treated unfairly and took 25% off your invoice to compensate for the amount of work we did."

"James we are sorry that you feel this way. While we are aware, addressed, fully accepted, and apologized for any delays that we were at fault for this review comes as a shock due to documented email correspondence between you, your wife and our team; as it clearly contradicts this review and states that both you and your wife were pleased with the outcome. In reference to the delays and scheduling I think its fair that all delays we both faced are addressed. Your decking was a special order from California that took three weeks to arrive. In that time there was a major hurricane that affected the entire community of Houston and surrounding cities which impacted some of our own employees, delays in getting materials, the lack of and shortage of materials available, etc. You also were affected by this hurricane in which we diligently fixed your storm repairs during this time. We also had several occasions that our team waited for 30 minutes plus outside your front door for you to feed your babies, that we were unable to come in and start work until after 10AM, or after 1:30PM due to nap schedules. You also had design changes in expanding your deck and pergola which is going to take more time than anticipated. We had to balance helping people who were severely affected by the storm and completing the many other pending jobs. We communicated with you and our other customers that we were putting all outdoor projects on a brief hold while we helped people get back in their homes. Our invoice is very transparent, very specific and detailed with each and every material, type or brand used detailed out line by line with an exact price. There are no surprises here. When you make changes to your original scope of work there will be additional charges that are approved before moving forward. We have never said we would not stand behind our warranty, you are expecting us to warranty mother nature, we took time out and explained that we cannot do anything about wood expanding or contracting as this is something that is a natural occurrence with all wood. As the moisture increased the wood expanded and as it decreases it will contract. We cannot warranty mother nature, wood has certain properties that cause it to change that we cannot control. If the wood where the wood screws and wood putty are does not contract when it dries up, we are more than willing to come back and take a look. We recognize that this was difficult for all parties involved. Our goals are to please every customer and it is disheartening we couldn?t do so in this situation even in our attempts to make it right with the monetary concession given on your invoice due to our part in any delays and having your 4-story town house cleaned at our expense. We are truly sorry the relationship ended this way, but we are and will always be happy to come out and assess any valid warranty issues that may arise in the future."
