Write a ReviewI recently had the unfortunate experience of working with Advanced Home Services, and I can confidently say it was a complete disaster. We spent over $100k on new air conditioning units and a generator, expecting a seamless process and top-tier service. Instead, we got the exact opposite. Communication between their departments was abysmal. Nobody seemed to know who was handling what, resulting in confusion, delays, and plenty of finger-pointing. Follow-up and follow-through were nonexistent. Despite numerous attempts to get clear answers and timely responses, we were met with empty promises and outright disregard. It?s painfully obvious that customer satisfaction isn?t even on their radar. In hindsight, we should have taken our business elsewhere. I would never recommend Advanced Air Home Services to anyone. If you?re considering using them, think twice. Find a company that values its customers and provides the service you deserve?because this one absolutely does not.
Called them they came didn't call ahead Called when got their, was to call ahead so care taker was 5 min away never call, then had little attitude that I was not there and he was waiting but he didn't read his insurance, I said it sounds like the fan motor was bad ..they never tested it said duct that was where duct connected to the return coupler was collapse needed to be changed Gave me a quote to change all the duct work for 4200$+ And second quote for the return part for almost 1300 I HAD JUST REPLACED ALL THE DUCT WORK 1 YEAR BEFORE...DIDN'T NEED TO BE CHANGED..TRYING TO SCAM OLDER PEOPLE THAT DON'T KNOW ANY BETTER...SHOWED ME KIND OF BUSINESS THEY RUN THERE, I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF SELLING THE HOME HAD TO GET FIXED SO WENT WITH THE 1200$ + REPAIR OPTION,THEY CAME FEW DAYS LATER PULLED OUT THE PC THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE COLAPSED...MY CARE TAKER LOOKED AT IT HAD A SMALL TEAR WHERE LOOKED LIKE WHEN THE RIPPED IT OUT HAVE PIC, DIDN'T WORK WAS NOT THE PROBLEM THEY WERE GETTING IN TRUCK TO LEAVE WHEN CARE TAKER SAID AREN'T YOU GOING TO CK IT TO SEE IF WORKING NOW ..RELUCTANTLY THEY GOT OUT WENT IN HOUSE ..NOT WORKING ,THEY SAID WE CANT CK ANYTHING DON'T HAVE ANY MEATER TO CK ANYTHING AND THE FINISHED THERE WORK ORDER..CALL OFFICE. CALLED OFFICE SAID JUST PAID SERVICE CHARGES 85+AND NOW 1200$+ FO THERE MISDIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM WRONG, CALL OFFICE COMPANED SAID WANT SOMEONE OUT THERE TOMORROW THAT CAN AND HAS SOME AC ABILITY, THEY SENT SOMEONE OUT NEXT DAY I WAS NOT HAPPY WITH THEM NEXT DAY THEY SENT A QUALIFIED PERSON WITH THE ABILITY TO TEST THE FAN MOTOR GOT A CALL FROM THE TEC ...IT IS YOUR FAN MOTOR, I CAN FIX HAVE FAN IN TRUCK, IT WILL COST $2400 I PAID AGAIN, SO IF YOU WANT TO GET A MISDIAGNOSED AND PAY FOR THERE LACK OF QUALIFIED TECHNICAL PEOPLE, THERE POLICES ARE TO GET THE CUSTOMER FOR ALL THEY CAN IF YOU COULD SEE DUCT WORK WAS REPLACED ...JUST LOOKING TO SCAM THE ELDERLY DON'T CALL THEM SAVE YOUR MONEY SEE IF THEY LISTEN TO ME NOW..it was the blower motor you people suck also copying bbb on this review, hope you lose business Have a nice day BILL BUTLER
Horrible, horrible, horrible customer service. I waited 8 hours for scheduled prepaid work and the technician never showed up. Numerous false assurances via both text messages and their call center. Dishonest and deceiving, i will never do business with them again. Hopefully, they will refo d my payment, but that may be another lie!
On 6/24/24 I had a simple plumbing job done by this company. The Moen valve cartridge in my shower broke and needed to be replaced. I have video doorbell, so I know exactly when the tech arrived and when he left. He showed up at 1:01 PM, looked at my shower and said that he needed to get the part. He said that the part cost $76. He left at 1:05 PM. He then returned at 1:38 PM and left at 14:16 PM. He spent total 38 minutes in my house working, getting paperwork ready and collecting the payment. He also told me that he "waved the service fee". To summarize: 30 minutes of actual work replacing $76 part. After he left, I come to find out that my credit card was charged $709.55 (invoice # 71795454). I was sure that this was a mistake. I called three times before the "office manager" called me back. She checked something and said that that the invoice was correct!!!! I could not believe it. I checked with other plumbing companies just to compare. The usual charge per hour of labor is about $170. So the fair price for this job would be about $160 ($85 for 30 min of labor plus $76 for the part). They unashamedly stole over $500! And I've been their customer for years. My AC was replaced in 2019 by Service Gurus, which was bought by Advanced Air; they replaced my water heater 2 years ago, and did multiple AC service appointments. I even bought their "comfort club" membership. So that's how they treat their loyal long-term customers! Beware. This company does price gouging. If you want to be gouged, please use them. Also, keep in mind that the old 5 star Google reviews do not belong to them. They belong to Service Gurus, which Advanced Air bought. Service Gurus were an awesome company. Please read Advanced Air reviews on YELP. You will find many customers who had exactly the same experience. Also, their invoice does not itemize price of parts or labor. It gives you entire amount. So you have no idea how much was the part or labor. Finally, if you check Better Business Bureau file for "Advanced Air Home services" you will see A rating with zero complaints. However, the actual name of this company is "Southern Home Services" (you can see this name at the bottom of their home page). Now if you search BBB for "Southern Home Services", you will see that they had 116 complaints over past 3 years! Bottom line: this company is profoundly dishonest. They do not advocate for their customers. They only want to get as much money out of you as possible. KEEP AWAY from them! There are plenty of great locally owned companies that will provide you with honest service.
I recently had a highly disappointing experience with Advanced Air Home Services. My A/C unit needed a capacitor replacement, and they charged me a staggering $491 for a capacitor, a part that takes 5 minutes to install. Upon consulting Carrier, the manufacturer of my A/C unit, I was informed that the cost for the capacitor should be significantly lower, I called a parts seller Company, I was told original equipment part was less than $50. Carrier also confirmed that my unit, which is only 6 years old, it is still under warranty for 10 years, as I am the original owner. It's shocking that Advanced Air Home Services would charge such an exorbitant amount for a part that is covered under warranty. This feels like a blatant attempt to overcharge homeowners. This company marked up the cost of a $3,200 unit by more than 100%. Retail price of unit was $3,200 and they charged $7,900 for the unit and install. Unit was installed right next to the above ground plumbing. It required about 6 feet of pipe to filter and 6 feet of pipe back. Gas pipe for hookup was already in place just had to hook 3 feet of pipe to it. Breaker box was in place, required three feet of conduit to hook up. Took them 3 days for 2 hours of work. It my opinion it is predatory pricing. They also refuse to issue an itemized invoice reflecting cost of unit and cost of installation. They know they are overcharging and donâ t care. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE GOUGED!!!
Last 2 yrs after each yearly AC maintenace check. AC brokd down several hrs after they left and the following yr it broke down 2 days after the maintenance. Then they could come back to repair it for a week. Unacceptable setvice. I have used this company for 15 yrs. NOT ANY MORE! STAY AWAY FROM THEM...

They Quoted me a price for a 50 gallon tank hot water heater for $2800, but when the serviceman arrived, they said they recommend a tankless heater because of the outside vent. They originally quoted me a price of $4500 for a tankless heater but changed the price to $5600. I would not recommend this company to anyone they are a rip-off. It is a shame because the serviceman they sent out worked hard and did a nice job, but they knew I was in desperate need of the replacement and they took advantage of the situation.
