They did a good job. My issue was they tried haggling price. I thought the price we locked in from their listing on Angi?s.

Lee started a job in Late Nov early Dec. Did less than 1/3 of the work agreed on. Gave initial payment and added work so asked for more. Stopped work because of weather and he was paid in error by a family member thinking the work was done. In Spring was contacted multiple times to come. Kept giving us dates and not showing. Turned over to my son to handle...he jerked him around one day sending texts ever half-hour delaying arrival. Never showed. Also told my son verbatim... If you have been paid why would you go back. Like that is really professional. Do believe he as gone bankrupt or just folded business. One excuse was his truck needed a complete overhaul. Not sure if true but it did break down twice during the three days he was at my house.. He had left truck in yard. Asked to remove it because I did not want it there all winter as I needed to put fence back for dogs...The truck had frozen in place and they created holes in my yard taking two days to remove. Now I have an incomplete job (Left some trees standing at about 8-15 feet.. not completing never grinding. IF HE REAPPEARS. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY and owner LEE FAULKNER

From my perspective, we were paid commensurate with the work completed in the late Fall of 2019 before the weather forced us to suspend operations. I received a formal estimate with photos of the area to be worked on and a thank you for considering our business. No pressure to follow up via email, phone or otherwise. I had other people look at the job and called Faulkner when I was ready. It was important to me not be be pressured into a commitment, When the job was done it was exactly as I had expected.

Lee was great to work with. The weather did not cooperate so it took longer to get them started on the job, but they worked through the weekend to get it done. The work was well done even with lots of trees in tough spots to take down. No complaints!

I hired Faulkner Stump Grinding on previous jobs and the price was very reasonable so I hired them for the last stump I needed ground and failed to agree on the price since it was so reasonable the last time. I was definitely surprised and disappointed when I got the invoice for one stump for $250 when the previous work averaged $50/ stump for large and small stumps. I was informed in no uncertain terms that since this was a large single stump adjacent to the paved road and mulch was removed that the price would remain at $250. Lee Faulkner (the owner) also informed me that I would pay what he told me to pay.

"Ken was a repeat customer. His previous job cost $1,000 for grinding multiple stumps (over ten) without removing the stump mulch. For larger jobs like this, I give discounts which lowers the price per stump. The job that Ken references in his unfair rating was for one large stump, surrounded by concrete and included removing the stump mulch. All of these factors requires more time being spent to compete the job, which increases the price. I tried explaining this to Ken, but apparently he doesn't understand. As of writing this rebuttal to his comments, I still haven't received payment for the completed job. The work was first rate."
