Fence Me In Now

Anyone who contacts this company should be aware of a few things. My wife and I hired Dan Cox, the owner of Fence Me In Now (it was called Donâ t Fence Me In at the time) to install, stain, and weatherseal a wooden fence in mid-2021. The fence was installed in September of that year. The staining and weather sealing were never done, even though he was paid in September 2021 for the installation, staining, and sealing. I spent most of 2022 trying to find out when he planned to complete the job he was paid for. Several weeks passed without hearing from him at all, and when I did hear from him he was rude. My wife and I were forced to take him to court in July 2023 to get back the money we paid him. For anyone who is considering hiring Mr. Cox/Fence Me In Now, I can offer only offer some advice so you can avoid making the same mistakes that plagued me and my wife. First, get a written contract from him that has a breakdown of the costs, and a date when the job will be finished. And keep any emails you and he have exchanged in case you have to take Mr. Cox to court. The job his men did on the fence was good, but not worth the hassle of dealing with the inability of Mr. Cox to finish the work he was paid for. My final advice is to go to a reputable company that has a solid history of providing quality work at reasonable prices.

Put a fence in and keep my small dog in. The fence does not work because the so-called hog rings long the bottom, does not work when you to much room between them the fance just gets pushed out and the dogs are gone.

This is an unreliable company. Dan Cox is the owner and the person I dealt with. Dan was hired to install a privacy fence at our home on September 23rd 2021. We had an agreement that with my assistance and supplying him with one additional laborer we would have our fence installed around October 16th/17th. Materials were delivered on October 6th as promised. Then on October 19th I received a phone call from Dan to start the project (2 days after agreed dates) I met him at my house just to have a post hole digger dropped off and him to only assist in setting 4 posts. He was there for 2 1/2 hours and worked for at most 1 hour. I ended up drilling out the remaining 40 post holes and set them completely by myself all in the same day. He had said he would return on 10/20 to retrieve the auger machine but it sat on my property for two additional days. So then on 10/22 he showed up to just pick up the auger and take concrete from my materials that were ordered to my house! And nothing has been done since then. He told me a date of November 2nd and no show. Had another date of November 13th and now was sick and was promised no matter what it will be done today November 14th just to receive a text that yet again it couldnâ t be completed but he could try and fit it in at the end of the week! He has been paid in full and now that I have fired him, he wants to mark up materials and charge me for and auger that he rented for another job that I had to store for two days! I told em I wanted refunded the difference of materials from the amount paid due to him having no time on the job! He replied once he figures his mark up on materials he will let me know! Avoid this business at ALL COST!! He is a very shady individual!! I have video texts and pictures to back all of this up

great experience, communication was very good, and job was completed in a very timely manner!

Could have kept me up to date on status, but overall was a very good experience. Had 811 been more responsive it would have went better but not the pros fault.

Communication about the project was clear and all expectations were met. Dan and his crew were professional and the installation was exactly what I wanted.

They finished the job and the fence looks great.
