We hired George to install a fence around our yard, connecting to the fence of my neighbor. He seemed to be OK, yet he could not open the drive gate to access the yard because he had not removed a stump that was blocking the gate. He returned a few days later to grind the stump. Then we hired him to build our outbuilding, a 14 x 24 ft. Gambrel shed. He said he knew how to build this type of building. I gave him plans to work from, which he did not use, yet he said he was working on my design, though his crew could not figure out how to make the roofline as it should be. George could not be here to instruct the crew, and I had a very difficult time communicating with them as they spoke no English. It took nearly 3 months to complete. He did not anchor the concrete properly, and used 18 gauge pin nails to attach the siding to the studs! I challenged him on a few things he was doing that I knew were not correct. His reply was, "I am not going to do it that way. I am doing it my way. " Needless to say, it did not pass code inspection. These items were repaired or corrected within a few days, as he wanted to get paid. Yet the window screen that was torn when it was installed still has not been replaced. Also, the doors do not open and close properly... I had to use 2 pry bars to open the doors after the rain. There are very visible gaps from the inside, which allow water to come in. We have called, left voicemails, sent texts, and emailed George about these issues. He refused to fix the doors. His reply was, "I am very busy for the next few months." He appears to be too busy to complete his work. I understand that any work that he could not do with his crew, he sub-contracted out. However, he said he was not responsible for the sub-work, nor did he stand behind their work. The subs did not speak English, which made it difficult to communicate with them. If you hire him to do any work, think twice and be prepared for what you wanted to be done differently than you described. His lack of customer service does not deserve any referral from us. His crew did not work safely. He does not work as a general contractor. HO has to be the general contractor.

George is loyal and dedicated and makes sure his customers are happy and satisfied.
