"First, we 100% stand behind the vinyl products that we use as they are the best in the industry. Second, even if we didn't stand behind them the manufacturer, ActiveYards, does with their 30 year materials warranty. We conducted 2 site visits of this fence installation and the "scratches" that the customer described are actually faint lines caused by the ribs inside of the pickets and rails. These ribs give the pickets and rails their structure and strength. We advised the customer of this and let her know that if she still felt that there was a product deficiency that it would need to go through ActiveYards' warranty department. We even offered to help her with the very simple and easy process of submitting a claim. Instead the customer continued to call our office over and over yelling at whomever answered the phone."

"While I will admit this project did not go smoothly I want to refute a lot of what was said and strongly state that this customer was never lied to. The only reason that it took that long was because the customer wanted a 20' long custom aluminum gate and it took the manufacturer much longer to fabricate and deliver the gate than a standard gate. When it came in the gate was bent so we had to send it back and order a new one. This is obviously frustrating but there was nothing that could have been done and we weren't going to install a damaged gate. The customer was charged $180 for his permit, not $800. This was to cover the cost of the permit and runner service. And the only reason the electrical line was hit was because it was not marked properly by the utility locate service. Our installers did accidentally hit his mailbox which we will be taking the cost of off of the final bill. We are by no means thieves and this is our first rating under a 4.0."
