Fine Design Build, LLC

The people at Fine Design Build are part craftsman, part artist, part magician. I learned the hard way, courtesy of my previous builder, that you need all three qualities in your contractor. Most builders, quite frankly, operate with only one or two of those qualities—and then only in varying degrees of goodness. Like a two-legged stool, it shows in the results. If you want it done right—and not only right, but beyond what you might ask or imagine—I can’t imagine a better choice than Fine Design Build. As I write this review, we’re finishing up the remedial work on what passes for “industry standard” (right! Industry standard is a code term for shoddy workmanship, inferior materials, crooked walls, bad ergonomic design, squeaky subfloors, poor paint work, bad excavation, and so on), and I am amazed that they have made some pretty challenging projects look like they were done right the first time—as originally intended! Considering what they had to work with (so-called industry standard), it’s incredible really. That’s where the magician part comes in. With future big projects planned, it is comforting to know I have found a builder for life. I only wish I knew Fine Design Build before I got started on our home—you know, the one built to industry standards. If this review sounds a bit over the top, it’s only because the results are over the top—results that have swung me from utterly frustrated to completely overjoyed.

Jason was extremely conscientious. The project wound up being bigger than either of us expected but, he was great to work with. The overall quality of work exceeded my expectations.

Jason's company did an exceptional job bringing my concept to life. The job involved replacing two walls and turning them into columns. These walls separated the dining room and the living room. He and his team were easy to work with, on time every day and when changes had to be made were open to listening to (my) their customer feedback. He is very professional. The columns / half walls turned out exactly as I wanted and even when the time allotted ran out Jason and his team stayed late to finish the job. I highly recommend these guys if you're working on an older home (mine is 1930's).

Jason met my objectives for a remodeled shower. He consulted on a tile to fit with the existing decor; constructed a walk-in shower and replaced the floor tile--all to our satisfactions. His design aesthetic and dedication (including some long hours on the job) meant a finished product that warranted us to ske him to remodel our fireplace surround. His creativity and craftsmanship delivered two excellent remodels and I recommend him--especially for custom projects.

Jason's proposal was several pages and was so professional and complete, I figured his work would be the same. Our stucko deck was falling apart and needed to be completely redone. He was so easy to work with and was over-conscientious. The weather wasn't with him, so we ran behind schedule, which was fine with us. We couldn't be happier with the new deck. It is perfect. He also replace materials in our breezeway, which had developed a leak. One AM we discovered a crack in the toilet tank. Jason tried to find a replacement, but we needed a new one. He picked it up and installed it. I would recommend The Finest Home Builder to anyone

I've used him for multiple different projects. He's easy to work with. I am very satisfied with the results. He's done our roof, carpentry work, some concrete work.
