We hired Jason after finding him through Angi. This has been one of the best decisions of our move. We were moving from out of state there was a small window to secure someone to work on our home. We had a very limited budget and of course a huge list of priorities. Jason helped us determine how to best spend our money. He explained why each project would make sense and why it should be a priority. It was obvious this home had been neglected and there were some mold issues that we were unaware of. Jason helped to remediate this issue and his priority above all was to make sure our house was healthy. He also painted the entire interior of the house and added beautiful crown molding and baseboards. Our house looks amazing and we have the utmost trust in Jason, he had keys to the house before we even moved to the state! He has done a beautiful job and I know we will hire him for future projects.

After being exposed to a "smoke and mirrors" show of grandiose promise, I have wasted 1.5 years, and over $10,000 in payments to Jason. I was very transparent clear and concise with my plans, expectations and budget. He gladly offered to work with me and made me pay a $5,000 deposit before we would conduct any work. In spring of 2023 I told him I was looking to build asap, he agreed we could start a foundation before winter. After our next meeting, I had no design, inadequate progress and told we could could start the following spring. He also handed me another invoice with a smile. He has rescheduled or been late for almost every meeting, disappeared for weeks and has insulted me in my home on several occasions, and showed up at my home reeking of alcohol, stumbling and falling down. He has been highly unprofessional and spoke of his unfavorable financial situation on multiple accounts. I had to ask him to leave my property after he began shouting and parading threats to place a lean on my property because I asked for an itemized list of his services he was charging me for. I do not recommend this company to anyone. I have a long chain of text messages of his harassment after I terminated him and asked him to stop contacting me. He appears to be a man in financial distress and looking to expel the maximum amount of funds from his clients. He has not provided ethical means of my best interest and only proposed ideas that would make his max benefit at the cost of my life savings. I am a disabled veteran that has been taken advantage of when I trusted the contract agreement to be shepereded through the home building process. I was also being recorded in my own home without consent and only did it come to light when I asked if he had been recording us. Please, take heed that this man is dangerous and proceed with extreme caution when allowing him on your property or in your home. He attempted to hurt himself in his drunken state as he left my home in an unwarranted emotional frenzy. Based on the experience I have first hand suffered, I do not recommend this company to anyone.
Response from Company:
At Fine Design Build, we strive hard for customer satisfaction and delivering high quality work product. Our Agreements with our Customers are very clear, delineating the down payment and how it is applied to our services and each and every invoice has details of the services provided at the hourly agreed rate per the Agreement. Upon entering a Service Agreement, it is a mutual understanding that progress will take time as there are multiple steps that must be considered, from surveying a lot, to Health Department involvement and Building Department codes and land use restrictions, combined with the clients budget and aesthetic or maximum capacity expectations. In Mr. Clints case, he changed his mind from constructing a single-family residence, to a multi-family, then to a housing facility for multiple (7+) sex offenders and felons at his residence. We informed Mr. Clint that he needed to understand that all parties, including his family-friendly neighborhood, the health department and building department etc., must be made aware of his new plan for his property and we must follow the codes and regulations to comply with his new request. Mr. Clint only expressed continued satisfaction until our recent meeting. We simply would not comply with Mr. Clints request to falsify documents to the Health Department and Building Department or to his neighborhood filled with young children, and thus stemmed the dispute regarding our Contractual Agreement. Unfortunately, Mr. Clint was not cooperative with us to work out a mutual resolution, to allow us to achieve customer satisfaction, and since there was no defective work, or dissatisfaction with work product, Mr. Clint, at his young age of 29 years, fraudulently claiming he is disabled after suing the Navy when he slipped and fell, who walks and runs without a limp, receiving checks, defrauding our State and County has resorted to lies and false defamatory statements.

Fine Design Build removed the front porch and rebuilt the structure. The contractor actually discovered that the porch was pulling away from the home. He helped work within my budget and although I didn't make all of the modification I ended up with a gorgeous front porch. The company's customer service was amazing.

Jason was extremely conscientious. The project wound up being bigger than either of us expected but, he was great to work with. The overall quality of work exceeded my expectations.

Jason's company did an exceptional job bringing my concept to life. The job involved replacing two walls and turning them into columns. These walls separated the dining room and the living room. He and his team were easy to work with, on time every day and when changes had to be made were open to listening to (my) their customer feedback. He is very professional. The columns / half walls turned out exactly as I wanted and even when the time allotted ran out Jason and his team stayed late to finish the job. I highly recommend these guys if you're working on an older home (mine is 1930's).
