Mendez Drywall

Paco Mendez is a true professional who was quickly available and stayed on the job until it was done. He was able to repair other tasks which I thought would have to be done by a different contractor. He got the job done on time.

Paco is a pleasure to work with. He is honest, reliable, and very skilled in his work. He takes pride in his work and is careful to do it right. He doesn't cut corners and makes sure that the job is perfect.

The guy did a fantastic job. I would recommend him to anyone that needs dry wall work.

Prompt communication. Arrived when scheduled. Paco and crew were very efficient. Hung ceiling and under stairs. Several soffits to deal with and fixing of my DIY. Great finish coat with 1/10th the mess if I had tried to do it. Of course there were some small spots to patch that I noticed after I washed the walls before painting but I could easily handle those. I put Kilz primer and Behr semi-gloss and still the finish looks good. I did sand the primer coat like he mentioned to get the patches I made as smooth as possible. I did the cleanup after each day. But it was only 15 minutes vacuuming or wiping down. It was a big job. 4 days to finish. I counted 32 man hours. It was more time than I think he imagined. He did not ask for any down payment. Overall, very pleased. Paid him more than he quoted and would recommend.

Arrived as scheduled and completed the work promptly.

They were here the next day and worked until the job was done. Very fast and efficient. Went around and fix any and all repairs and patches needed on all the walls. Did great skim coat and general hanging and mudding of drywall. We will hire them again when it's time for our basement project. Would recommend to everyone!!!

They don't give you an invoice for the job which I needed.

Paco was great! He even recommended a plumber and they came in and knocked it out! I had done some diy drywall patching and I didn't even notice until he left, that he had taken the time to smooth it out! Thanks Paco and Danny!

I thought I would have a hard time finding a person to repair a bad garage drywall job done by my home's prior owner. Paco came out and had no hesitation quoting and doing the job. The price was fair, the work was good quality and I am happy with the results

In summary I would never hire Mendez Drywall to do anything. They did a terrible job and do not have the integrity to even return your phone calls. I hired Mendez Drywall to apply joint compound to drywall that was already installed. A representative, Paco, came over, who turned out to also be the worker. The job was a 9' x 14' Octagon shape in the ceiling, 2' deep with the sides going up at a 30 degree angle. I have a similar 6' X 6' X 1' deep Octagon existing in the same room. I said I wanted radius corners so they would look like wet plaster coves. When he arrived I told him I wanted the bottom edge to be a normal, sharp corner because I was adding rope lighting behind crown moldings and he said OK. If he was not going to radius the corners this was the time to bring it up. When he was almost done, I asked hem when he was adding the radius's. He replied "I am not putting radius's on, this is a professional job and this is how it should be done". He called it a diamond cut. He convinced me once it was primed I would call him and tell him it looked great. When I went to prime it, it was pretty rough so I started detailing his work. That took 10 hours. I primed it and I hated it. I called him up and he said he would be out over the weekend to do it like I originally asked. I never heard from him for weeks after I called him and Mendez Drywall many times with no response. I called Home Advisor, they called Mendez and he called me back within the hour. Paco came back and did the job, it looked pretty good, just what I wanted. He said it would need a little lite sanding. I gave him a tip both times he came, I regret that. When I started to prime it I realized what a horrendous job he did, I called Mendez and explained to his wife, I said I had photos and she said "send them" (I still have them if anyone is looking for a recommendation I will send them to you). I called Mendez and Paco 16 times after that, with no reply. I called Home advisor and they said there was nothing they could do and told me to write a review so other people could decide for themselves whether they wanted to use them. I ended up sanding it myself for 4 hours and it is still bad, it needs more joint compound and more sanding. I was very disappointed with Mendez and Home Advisor as well. Thank you, Robert

If I could give them higher than a 5.0, I would. We are building a new house and Paco and his team were professional, prompt, had a fantastic work ethic and did superb work. We were so pleased with their drywall work that we also had them do all the interior painting. Likewise, the painting was superb as well. Paco, always returned phone calls, showed up when he said he would, made helpful suggestions and worked fast and paid close attention to detail. He went above and beyond on several occasions to take care of details to ensure the drywall and paint looked beautiful. We have built four houses and done two major remodels in the past so we are very familiar with sub-contractors. Mendez Drywall outshines them all. They are the best and we highly recommend them!!
