Finishing Touches

Hers was not the lowest estimate for our interior painting which included among other items, ceiling, walls, trim, closets/doors with attention to matching requested color and to not get paint on non-painted surfaces. Because I hired her through Home Advisor, my trust was unfortunately mis-placed. We walked through each part of the home and she acknowledged each area of need. Upon inspection and unfortunately for me she had been paid the full price sight-unseen. We live in another state and the real estate agent allowed access to contractors. When I did get to the house numerous errors in her painting was observed including paint on the kitchen cabinets, door handles, a paint roller stain of white pain on the kitchen floor, the chandelier with pain on it. Unpainted surfaces on the ceiling which was streaked, unpainted surfaces throughout the home and poor coverage with the original paint showing through None of the baseboards were painted, none of the window ledges were painting, none of the interior doors were painted and nor was the laundry closet interior wall painted. Evidence was recorded by video and by pictures. I tried to speak to the contractor by phone but was unable to reach her except by text. She did contact me by phone but denied the walk-through prior to the contract being obtained. My mother, wife, another contractor and my next door neighbor are all witnesses to the amateurish job which I paid $2700 for. I had to hire another painting contractor to fix all her mistakes and hopefully can remove the numerous surfaces both floor, cabinet and other unpainted surfaces for which she was instructed not to get paint on. Over 40 pictures were obtained after the fact and over 15 minutes of video room by room was obtained. Additionally, she is using as her company title another company's title. If you hire this individual, you have to be there throughout the job since she is obviously unaccountable and lacks integrity in her work or her working relationship with the customer. I would like to give her no stars but she did show up. BUYER BEWARE!!!
