Fireman Heating & Air

Todd came out to fix our gas furnace on Friday 12/4. He had to "order a part" and 5 days later (after many texts from me) he came back with what I now know was a used part. He installed the part, heat still didn't work, so he said that wasn't the problem. Said the heat exchanger was cracked and it would cost me $1745 (check or credit) I called another company for a second opinion. They let me know quickly that the part he installed was not new, and that the heat exchanger was not cracked. They got my heat working within an hour. I had no heat for 8 days, in December, because I called Fireman Heating & Air. If your house is on fire, call Todd. If you need an HVAC company, call someone else.

Be careful. My work was done in winter. Told I had to wait until it heats up before they could connect the blower to the air conditioner. When they came back, they charged me for freon stating it must have leaked out. It was their job to protect the environment and also to reclaim the freon to put back into my system. If you are going to use them (at your own risk), tell them to give you the reclaimed freon to hold until they can finish the job. That should save you over 400.00.

They were quick and efficient however they couldn't give me a break down of the costs which was very frustrating. I should have held payment until I received a breakdown to be honest.

Todd was very friendly, he held to his price which was much less than others bidding this effort and completed the work the day after I called him. I plan to have Todd perform all 6 month maintenance on my system from now on.

Excellent response to my call, was on time and came very well equipped for the necessary diagnosis and required fix. A part had to be ordered and will be installed within 2 days of order which was ok as the system was working but not up to full capability.

Todd was incredible. My work request had barely cleared the screen when he called me to set up the appointment. It was like having a skilled friend check it out; he found an electrical component that had burned out, replaced it on the spot, and did not try to sell me any "upgrades". All this DURING A THUNDERSTORM. My system is 10 years old and I know that I DO need other things (like a seasonal check-up), so I will be calling him back.

While speaking with Servicemagic about a different project, I mentioned that I needed my A/C serviced because of freezing lines. Within 5 minutes of ending the call, Todd from Fireman Heating and Airconditioning called me. After explaining my A/C symptoms he said it might be a little low on freon and that he could be at my house after lunch. Todd called me to let me know he was on his way. It was a dirty coil. Todd was extremely professional and clearly a leader in ability and knowledge in the A/C field. PICK TODD TO DO YOUR WORK, YOU WON'T REGRET IT. He is also a Fireman in a serving to protect us.
