I had contacted several contracting companies, but Carl was the first one to respond. He also showed up the day we spoke to discuss the scope of work I was looking for. Carl always kept me up to date on any changes to schedules. He and his crew are extremely professional, and the quality of their work was top-notch. They worked long hours and went above and beyond. They completed all of the projects I wanted done, and I felt that the costs were very reasonable. I highly recommend this company.

there were several things I liked about the company ; the owner Carl was punctual and communicated with us throughout the work process ; their price for the work was very reasonable , plus they did some extra work outside of what we initially spoke about and didn't charge us ; his workers were polite and knew what they were doing ; and Carl was kind enough to tell us that we can call him afterwards if we had any other home repair questions . He was honest and fair . plus did a nice job . We have no problem recommending him to others .

At a time when other contractors won't return a call or show up when they say they will Carl made time to come see us. His experience in all facets of the industry were of great help to us as we had many varied issues. A number of our projects had been quoted by others as taking days to complete, Carl's team accomplished them all over a period of just 2 days with quality workmanship and amazing results. We thought his pricing was more than fair and wish we had used him much sooner.

Home advisor sis not have the option to check off all the services provided. The categories are very limiting. I have had services from first Call Home Repair for all of the following and more: Plumbing, tile work, carpentry, custom cabinetry electrical, hot water heater installation, boiler repair. I've called them in emergencies and non-emergencies. Carl Forestieri has always provided the best, customer service and expertise. He is the first call I make when I need ANYTHING done in my home. He and his crew are stellar!

Attic staircase replaced

Carl runs a first class business and the Tech. he sent (Troy) to remove our old dishwasher and install the new one was also first class. I would use them again for whatever odd job I need done and recommend them to anyone. The dishwasher was delivered on Friday and we had a commitment on Sat. so Troy came to my house on Sunday morning to do the job, and was happy to do so. Can't say enough good things about this company.

Troy was very handy and really knew how to pretty much do everything as we needed him to do multiple project including fixing a pipe leak, hang shelves and assemble furniture. My only complaint is that it didn’t feel like he moved with a sense of urgency until the end of the day.

I have used First Call for a few projects. Carl has always been very accommodating and helped me reach a home project deadline in a crunch. The work he and his crew do is great and very reasonably priced. Carl is very honest and very easy to work with. I highly recommend First Call and will definitely use them for any future home improvement projects I have.

excellent communication. Carl is very friendly and easy to talk to. He has extensive knowledge of his profession. His experience allows him to problem solve very easily. Example: electric wires and wood supports where they were not expected. I would easily go to him for any future projects.

Carl was on time and did excellent work. He replaced my attick staircase, installed 3 bathroom fans, replaced some outdoor fixtures and painted. All the work was done in time and of excellent quality. I would hire him again.

Carl and his team were absolutely wonderful! Not only did they work with my budget but they were able to complete the job ahead of time. I needed help putting a gigantic desk together and one of the pieces was broken upon shipment and Carl made sure to secure the broken part without ruining the entire desk. They accommodated me on short notice and did a wonderful, professional job.

Carl is the ultimate professional. His many years of experience and his extensive knowledge makes him a perfectionist at everything he does. Installing new cabinetry in a very old and crooked house is no easy task, but he managed to do the job perfectly and in less than one day. When our countertops were installed by a separate company they asked who installed the cabinets ? Why, I asked? Because we rarely come across cabinets that have been installed so well, it makes our job so much easier. So, yes, I would highly recommend First Call Home Repair and Maintenance for any project. Carl was also and endless source of information and advice for us as we tackled many other projects on our own. We have known Carl for several years, and he is always just a phone call away when we need advice. We had previously hired Carl for a very large living room transformation in which we vaulted the ceiling, exposed stone walls and expanded custom-built in cabinetry. Carl was creative and resourceful as we came across several unforeseen obstacles (again, dealing with an 1837 home with multiple additions). What stumped us was no big deal for Carl. He quickly came up with alternatives, presented them to us and guided us through the decision-making process. He was able to give us clear vision of the final results and exactly estimate the costs involved. What we ended up with was a living room that was not what we had originally envisioned, but something that far exceeded that vision. He managed to preserved and incorporated history into new design. As new guest to our home say **OMG this room is so freaking amazing** It truly is, and it did not break our budget. Carl also made us appreciate the things that were incredible about our home. Craftsman ship that we almost took for granted, but Carl made sure to point out details of quality from previous carpenters work in our home. I can't say enough about how pleased we are. I highly recommend this man and this company. Looking forward to our next project together!
