Ken was great from the beginning and even after the mold removal project was complete. He had excellent response to my inquires, the project was begun and completed in the set time and the workspace was left clean and neat. He was personable and professional. We will recommend and not hesitate to call again if another need arises.

Zac, the technician and his dad Ken (I believe) the salesman and the very competent lady mold expert were great. My wife and I from the beginning knew that they were going to really fix the problem. Small competent companies like this are, in many ways, the backbone of the American economy.

They did not do any work after they identified that the mold was surface mold and not coming from inside of the wall. It was left up to us to clean abd remove the mold; with instructions to buy a specific paint called Kilz and use that to stop and prevent future mold coming on the walls as a result of continued condensation in the bathroom where my teenage daughter takes excessively long showers which is the leading cause of the mold.

I strongly recommend these folks. They are true professionals. If the words knowledgeable, competent, customer-friendly, responsive, detailed, appeal to you, then this is the company you need to hire. I can’t say enough good things about Ken and the entire team at First Response. Simply put, they do whatever it takes !

In a stressful time, Zac provided insightful recommendations on "just the right" amount of service needed, how to work with the insurance company and went the extra mile in developing a rebuild estimate. I cannot express enough gratitude for the First Response Disaster Team located in in Edgewater Florida. Zac Brooks was the man we worked with. He and his parents Ken and Ann-Marie are the owners of First Response Disaster team. On their website they explain that they believe in the importance of customer relationships, quality of service, integrity, teamwork, respect, citizenship and accountability in their corporate culture. They don't just say these words; my families experience with this company is that they live these words. I live in New York and own a home with my elderly mother in Port Orange. During a bathroom upgrade there was mold discovered behind the walls. The situation became very complicated as our home butts a neighbor's residence and mold was also in our neighbors home. Our neighbor was unwilling/unable to re mediate the mold in her home. This became a very challenging situation. I was trying to handle these events from New York. The insurance process was lengthy and we ran into many roadblocks. My mom was out of the home for weeks and weeks. It was stressful to say the least. Zac Books and his staff at First Response DIsaster Team were patient, kind, and extraordinarily helpful. Zac offered to call insurance companies, banks, and he even spoke to the neighbor for us as he could explain the needs and the danger of mold between the walls. The First Response Disaster team put up a thick wall of plastic to prevent the neighbors mold from entering our home and set up multiple air filters to remain in place for over a month while we sorted through how to remedy the issues. All I can say is that Zac Brooks and his staff were a comfort to me and my family during a time where we felt no one else cared, was willing to, or able to help us fix this issue. Zac and the First Response Disaster Team treated us as people first. Like all of us they have to earn a living and get paid but it was so nice to work with a company that put people above profit.
