Chris does excellent work for a fair price. He finished our basement and we could not be happier with the final product. He takes pride in his workmanship and makes very helpful suggestions in order to help the homeowner design the project well. He is also honest which is a much sought after characteristic when hiring a contractor. The only drawback with using Chris is that his excellent reputation has made him a very busy man, so if you want to get quality work done for reasonable price you better call him soon!

We had just bought a house that had a continuous kitchen leak and the original owners kept laying flooring down on the damaged floor. Chris and his team ripped out five layers of flooring, removed cabinets, and put down subfloor in the kitchen, bathroom, and laundry room. They had this all on the first day. Our job was a big one and we had other things done. He kept us in the loop. We also had a new granite countertop and faucet put in which looks amazing. We are very pleased with First State Home Improvement.

Chris is awesome. We have worked with Chris several times on everything from a whole house remodel to smaller things. Chris is as honest a guy as you could ever hope for. His work is top-notch, and he is fantastic to work with. I would highly recommend Chris for any construction job you are considering. We have enough experience in this type of work to know what to expect, and Chris meets and exceeds these expectations. And the bonus is, he is a great guy.

Bathroom Remodel
Be very careful this guy doesn't know what the word truth means . Bad sloppy work . He says a lot of things that suddenly change when he is in your home .

We tried to reach out to you by phone to resolve these matters, with no avail. Please know that when we sign contracts and take deposits, it is of utmost importance to us to make our customers happy, and also have fairness on both parts of the contractual agreement. We strive to do this on every project and have been a successful independently-run company for over 6 years by using this business model. At your request, we completed no further work in your home concerning this hall bathroom. It is with great regret that we have been unable to come to an agreement regarding the minor cosmetic details of your hall bathroom and that our working relationship appears to be at its end. Thank you again for the opportunity to complete this project in your home."
