Not all large items (washer and dryer) were shrink wrapped or blanket wrapped resulting in scratched doors and dirt marks (mattress).

They took way too long and broke things. They were supposed to help pack, but didnt want to, so that added 3 hours to move time. Broke things and didnt have the courage to tell us. We found damage after they left. Their organization of time and truck space needs work. They didnt send a big enough truck for the job. Am hoping to get some money back for these and other reasons. I would not use them again.

They were contractors hired by First Step Moving; they didn't actually work for the company. They packed the furniture in their truck the way they wanted the furniture to be placed and not the way I wanted the furniture to go in. But they were efficient and friendly and I appreciate them putting the bedframes together. They were the cheapest company I contacted to handle the move.

"Regina, This is not true. Jon and his crew are full time with First Step Moving. They are contractors, but only work with us. They do pack the truck in accordance to their moving experience to fit as much into the truck as possible and to minimize damages. We can't allow customers to dictate how a truck is loaded. I know it seems simple, but it would be like telling a mechanic to follow your instructions on how to repair your car. I am glad that the price, efficiency,, and friendliness exceeded your expectations. Joseph"

Next Step Moving was fantastic. They brought an extra person at no additional rate from what was quoted to me for two people. They handled everything with care and were very courteous. My one bedroom apartment took three hours (including moving some items between floors in my old home). The only reason for the imperfect score was they there were a few times items were knocked over, but it was accidental and nothing was damaged.

you have to double coordinate with the owner and his wife - there seems to be a miscommunication that should be monitored.

I am a firm believer that how you act when things go well is not as good an indication of your character as how you act when things go wrong. Next Step made a slight scheduling error but when I contacted them about it, they went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make things right without me having to ask or get upset. The move went smooth as silk and not one item was damaged. I WILL call Christy and crew again the next time I move, as they were the 100% true professionals!! Next Step Moving was quick, efficient and like I said before not one item was damaged. If you want a stress free move call Next Step Moving!
