Fischer Landscaping

Owner Rob Fischer met with me at my residence on Oct 11th and I explained I wanted to remove approximately 12 trees, 20 some stumps from trees I previously removed myself, clear and prep the area to be able to plant grass and mow. Cost was reasonable and Rob was a personable young man who seemed to have good knowledge of this industry. Sent quote on 10-19 and stated start date of one week. Paid deposit via check on 10-26 but had to cancel check and pay cash on 10-29 as he stated company was going thru a name change. After several excuses he finally delivered excavator and skid steer on 11-28. On 12-12 dump truck driver arrived to haul stumps but I had to pay $450.00 in cash to him or he refused to load. He did not return for second load. Although I requested a COI numerous times, I finally gave up. I sent texts for payment receipts as he never provided. Although terms were $1,500.00 down and balance due upon completion, I paid early (less 10% retainage) in an effort to motivate him to finish the job. On 12-26 my neighbor had mud crossing his drive and down his yard due to heavy rains and no silt fence installed. I sent Rob photos and he installed 16' of silt fence 0n 1-5-24. Stated he was wrapping up work. I advised I would not pay until all trash (branches, pieces of wood, ruts, dirt mounds ect...) was rectified. He advised that he felt job was complete and I would have to pick up some things myself,. I told him that was not acceptable. After a feeble attempt to rectify, I stopped requesting him to complete the job. I asked him to remove this equipment on 1-18. He did so on Friday and asked to be paid remaining 10%. I refused as I hired another company to finish the job properly. Rob talks a good game but other than doing a good job removing the trees and stumps his work is horrible. The work area was approximately 1/4 acre in size and took 3 months to get his equipment out of the yard.. His response was he went above and beyond by regrading multiple times (I have photos of his idea of regrading), putting up 24' of silt fence that he should have accounted for in his estimate and the cost of such is minimal, did not request a public locate (which is free) and one of his workers nearly hit the below grade electrical line and for picking up sticks (he and and a worker for 45 minutes). He had many more excuses than he has business etiquette (the rain, a "huge holiday season"). Bottom line, beware of this company!

They were prompt, showed up on time with a full crew, completed the work safely, and cleaned up the mess.

Robert did what I asked. He ran into a problem with grading but easily fix the problem by changing machines . Worked in the cold and rain and got sick , but still showed up to finished the job. I couldn’t ask for anything more.

I used Angis list to do a quick multi quote for three contractors. The owner Robert actually emailed me back straight away on a Sunday evening to introduce himself and asked if I had time to talk now or if Monday is better. Within the first few minutes of talking with him, it was clear that he was professional and stood out with his communication skills. He came out to see the property the following Tuesday and returned the quote by end of week. From a value perspective, his quote came back several thousand lower than the other two and better yet walked me through how he arrived at his price. The entire process was incredibly smooth despite some curveballs my property threw at him. His team was all professional and well skilled. They definitely earn their keep and Iâ ve already recommended him to several other of my friends. Definitely reach out if you need work done.

I'm generally on guard, when it come to contractors because lip service is one thing and fulfilling the obligation is another. But I'm happy to say that Fischer Landscaping was easy to work with. Mr. Fischer is a very fine young man, he's intent on doing a first class job. I do intend to hire this company again.

Quoted project incorrectly, made excuses to start the project, which took 3 weeks to even start! Did not finish the project fully. Grading was incomplete, even though it was included with a quote along with a culvert pipe that was replaced with a plastic drain pipe (landscaping pipe) which is now crushed and unusable. Due to them riding over it. I even had to pay an extra $220.00 for gravel that was delivered for culvert, which he said would be taken off the final price, but since they "worked hard" as he told me; he would not take the charge off. That was not discussed. Plus, the culvert pipe does not exist, even though we were charged! Culvert pipe and cheap landscaping pipe are not the same. Tons of tree debris everywhere, huge dirt walls, tons of uneven ground, a 7 ft+ pile of tree mess in our backyard, along with trash, gloves, food wrappers, a beer can. My yard was not treated with respect. It is horrible and embarrassing having people walk by seeing the mess that was left, especially being new to a neighborhood. We added trees to be removed that were bigger and got charged for it, which is fine, but he never finished the originally quoted job but was paid fully for it along with the tree removal. We are very disappointed with the muddy mess that we are now left. I do not recommend this company. I now need to pay someone else to fix the mess he left. He talks a good game and seems like a nice guy, but is way too inexperienced. I asked him several times to come out and please finish job. Stay away unless you like bleeding money for incomplete results and a huge mess. We wanted to give him a chance to do the right thing, but sadly I still have a huge mess.

Robert was very easy to work with. He showed up when he said he would and did what we needed to get done.

Omg! I needed my garage cleaned out at the last minute...and Fischer Landscaping was here within an hour after we spoke. Not only did they do a great job, but they also got everything done in a timely manner! Very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. I would recommend this company to anyone that needs junk removal done! Awesome job! Thank you again!

I think there was some miss information or miscommunication? He did not write anything down and after he had said he finished I went out and found some things that were not completed. I told him to flatten the elevated garden beds and use the dirt to fill in other places and only part of that was done as well as I?ve had a few more plants and roots that I had to tear out. He was also supposed to send me a tree expert to evaluate a tree in my yard and that never happened. he was very nice and he works quickly but he should have completed the job and I should?ve had some kind of receipt for the work he did. Not having a receipt I didn?t have his phone number to contact him to return to the job so I had to complete the work myself.

They had great taste in what they chose for my garden. They were prompt and very courteous. The estimate was respected. I would definitely hire them again and recommend them.
