Friday, May 22 - contract is received, signed, and deposit is sent over the next few days. The contractor preferred Venmo, so we had to send it in smaller amounts. Promised work would begin Tuesday, May 26 Monday, May 25 - Communicated that the rain got them behind schedule; they would be able to start in a few days. Wednesday May 27 - said they would start on the weekend and finish on the weekend. Monday, June 1 - never showed up for the weekend; we reached out. Said he and the crew were sick and they would start soon Friday, June 8 - reached out to say the crew was still sick but they would be able to start next week. Tuesday, June 16 - we checked back in with the contractor because we had not heard anything. They said they would "definitely be there Saturday or Sunday" - they did not show up. Wednesday, July 8 - we reached out again. No response from contractor Thursday, July 9 - we reached out again. Received a response that they would start and finish "next week" Monday, July 20 - we reached out again. This time say it appears they do not have time for our job and that we request a refund of our deposit. The contractor replied saying they had injured their toe and sent pictures of the toe and the prescription bottle. Saying they were on the mend and should be "good to go soon". We responded that we prefer to get the refund and find a new contractor. They said that they would need to return supplies before they could refund us. Saturday, July 25 - no refund nor further communication. We requested a refund on Venmo. Monday, July 27 - Venmo refund request was denied by the contractor

We hired Muharem (Moe) Zuhric of Fit and Finish to replace our front porch. We contracted and deposited half the cost on May 23rd 2026. In two months we have had to ask three times when they plan on doing the work. He only responded if we contacted him and it has always been with excuses of illness or medical issues. After two months we have decided to ask for our money back. We requested Monday, July 20th for a refund. He responded that he had already bought material (no proof) and needed to return them before refunding us. I officially requested payment through Venmo (which is how we deposited) and after a week he has denied my request on the app.
