It was a pleasant experience doing business with Five Star Solutions. As a consumer, I look at doing business with a home remodeling company through a few lenses. 1) Brian Tavares' presentation was one of the most important because he set the company's expectations for integrity, which is the quality of being honest and adhering to a consistent standard that sets strong moral and ethical principles, aligning actions with the company's beliefs and doing business with customer wants. Great job. 2) Dennis was the contractor and should execute a plan to carry out the performance to put into order and command, or task that designs the concept with problem-solving and his experiences delivering the task. He even had a greater job. Well done. Finally, Avery Lytle, following up to ensure all these deliverables meet not only the company promise but also the product that is guaranteed to happen, as promised. I am an informed consumer, and, as another reviewer said, your name defines you well. The Team's kindness and respect made my wife and me feel so appreciative; thank you.

Excellent experience with 5 Star Bath Solutions of Portland! I called them for a third bid and was hesitant to have them come out because of their high quality of work and pricing, but the wonderful receptionist convinced me to let them come take a look and give me a bid. After talking to the project manager, learning about the extent of the work they do and their outstanding warranty, the price they quoted me was more than fair, choosing them was a no-brainer. It took about a month for them to custom fabricate the wraparound shower/bathtub replacement and prepare to Install it, but they were very communicative with me during that time. The removal of the old fiberglass wraparound and installation of the new superior PVC was scheduled for one day. They would’ve had it done in that time, but during the removal a 220 V electrical cable in between the walls of the kitchen and the bathroom, going to the stove was nicked. They immediately shut off the breaker to the stove, but I was concerned about the length of time it would take to repair the nicked cable, as well as the quality of repair that would be performed. Especially because it occurred in between Christmas and New Year’s making it difficult to schedule electricians or any contractors, and the fact that the cable should be repaired before finishing the installation of the new wraparound bathtub and shower. The company they usually use for electrical work wasn’t able to schedule for the next day, but Five Star was able to find another reputable, licensed and bonded company to come do the repair. The electrical repair was done well and well documented. It and the wraparound shower and bathtub installation were completed the next day. I can’t stress enough how impressed I was with Five Star’s professionalism, responsiveness and responsibility. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a similar job. And the new wraparound shower and bathtub look great.

Alvin did an exceptionally good job of explaining how the new bathroom would look and work. He explained various options and we discussed different finishes and styles. He was professional and informative. He was able to answer my questions and show me examples.

We had been thinking about replacing our tub with a walk in shower, but had to move quickly when the flooring began to fail. We had numerous estimates, but opted for Five Star since they offered a great product at a very competitive price and worked with us on the floor repair (which other contractors didn't want to touch or even coordinate with a subcontractor). Five Star subcontracted with Dennis at American Construction & Remodeling, who did an outstanding job with the flooring and sub-floor. Our 1916 house now has a solid and level bathroom floor that addressed the structural damage caused by past, sub-par remodeling. The extra work wasn't too expensive, and since it was handled by Five Star as part of the contract, we didn't have to pay extra for additional contractors, staging, permitting, etc. The new walk in shower, sliding barn doors, and floor look great! The attention to detail from Dennis and his crew is impressive. The quality of the materials sourced by Five Star is top tier. Five Star worked closely with us to select the best options and appearance to meet our needs (shout out to Avery!), and Dennis worked with us to coordinate schedules, work, and clean up.

We decided not to move forward with our project for reasons unrelated to Five Star Bath Solutions of Portland, so I am unable to provide any comments on their bath installation abilities, but I do have a few words to share about Mr. Alvin Martinez. Alvin was the design consultant who came to our home to prepare an estimate for a two bathroom remodel job (shower + tub combo and a single shower). He arrived on time, was very professional and knowledgeable. He answered all our questions and delivered the estimate in a very timely manner and just as promised. If in the future we decide to move forward with the project, we will surely ask for Alvin to return and update Five Star's estimate.

We had an amazing experience using Five Star bath Solutions! From beginning to end we felt well informed and the project came in on time and on budget. Tim the installer was courteous and made sure everything was clean throughout the installation. Highly recommend using them.

Very timely, professional, friendly. Unparalleled communication, and very respectful of my house. They laid drop clothes from the front door to the bathroom, were diligent about collecting as much dust as possible and left the bathroom cleaner than when they left. OH, and a top-notch bath, too!
