Exterior Painting and Staining Service
Five Star Painting can only provide 1 star service. They make tons of promises in their contract about cleaning, sanding and honoring industry standards. They left a mess daily. They barely sanded at all and painted right over scraped wood with very noticeable rough finish. They spilled paint heavily in 3 spots on our lawn and ripped 2 upstairs window screens. None of this was brought to our attention until we found and mentioned. Color was not touched up at all and there was peeling and cracking on the day we reviewed the job 1 day after painting. They refused to fix issues. The foreman was rude and argumentative and verbally admitted areas only looked better instead of smooth. When I pushed for corrections, they asked what do you think it is worth to settle and go away? They refused to finish the job. The owner did nothing to help but to offer to go away and keep our deposit. Dont fall for the BS this company and owner shovels.

"This homeowner keeps making a fool out of her self by going on social media and other methods to disrespect our company as well as her self because she does not get her way. She hides behind social media is a coward to discuss this matter, my response is as follows to all her rants. "CONTRACTORS BEWARE OF THIS PERSON" Yes, extremely disappointing as well refused to pay for the job even if we did make the minor corrections. FSP waived the balance due of $3200 after the house was 95% completed. She remarked how great and friendly the crew was, when it came to the end of the job she turned on us. This homeowner represents the worst kind of people this country has to offer. She is trying to attack our reputation be cause she doesn't get her way!!! I am a US veteran treats my employees, people and homeowners with respect, the opposite of what she does. God Bless our customers and America the greatest county on earth. "Semper Fi""

Do not have them paint a deck. The last time my deck was painted, it lasted over 5 years. I had them paint it last year. It started peeling off 2 months later, and by 8 months, it looked bad. It's not covered under any warranty whatsoever. They will not offer any solutions or work with you in any way shape, or form. You will have wasted your money. I am not sure why they would even attempt to take on a deck painting project if they knew it had such a high chance of failure. I have worked with dozens of contractors over the years and have completely renovated three homes. These guys do not rank high on my list. I had another local painter come out today, and they told me they did not know what they were doing and used the wrong product to paint my deck.

Five-Star Painting Northville is very unprofessional he promised that he would do the job, took the $700 deposit check, and then dropped it off in the mail 2 weeks later without any explanation after all the promises of doing the job and having us sign a contract. He is very unreliable and again unprofessional.

"As we explained on the first call, we would use and apply our best efforts to start and complete the project. The difficulty of the project required special equipment. I understand your frustration of not being able to get your original painter out there and the roofer who caused the damage in the first place. Since we could not deliver a five-star service we had to decline due to labor shortage. We did promptly return your deposit. Respectfully, Victor."

5 Star really earns their name. Estimator LESTER was very thorough in explaining what the time line would be since I need the job done asap. Can't say enough about the painter Alan who was very knowledgeable about the number of coats of paint needed to cover the old paint color. Very personable young man.

When i call to report missing spot in wall panting .and wrong way to rewired my celling fan the rep hangup phone on me because i desire not to do next job if their not finishes the first job The panter very messy .you can see alot of footprint under paint after step on .no clean up before paint I do not do business with soneon hang up phone on me again

Working side by side with Lester, he made sure we were taken care of and even came 3 separate occasions to make sure we were happy with the repairs and painting of the exterior of our home. The owner even stopped by one day! We can't say enough praise regarding the painters themselves. Daryl was our project manager and Fred was on his team. The attention to detail was on target, they were very professional, respectful and did high quality work. We would most definitely hire them again.

They were not professional. I had an idem in my home that they took by accident. They also had a van that spilled oil all over my driveway. They promised to take care of this situation, but nothing has came out of it.

"Removing your door bell was not our responsibility. As a courtesy the painter took it down from the wall. Now you are blaming FSP for your 20 year old doorbell that you mishandled and lost it. We offered to buy you a new one but never heard from you. There were a few drops of oil and we did remove it with a cleaner. Okay, you didn't mention the beautiful paint job we did. A rating this low is uncalled for and I dispute it."
