Matt was a sincere pleasure to work. The guys have done a spectacular job on the exterior painting of my home. Communication was excellent. Well worth the price.

I paid a premium price for a substandard performance. Stain remover and neutralizer/brightener were applied incorrectly. The stain was not applied correctly either[was not back brushed resulting in missed areas, runs, unequal application, etc.] I sent the website that illustrated how the stain remover/neutralizer application was to be applied to him prior to starting the job. Called him the day he started after the **painter** informed me he did not have to back brush stain. He was informed by the owner that he did have to back brush or at least backroll with the grain. I made the mistake of assuming the painter knew what back brushing meant. The contractor has agreed to redo the front of the house but keeps reneging, He promises **next week** but never shows or calls. He did call once to inform me he was going to come the next day but unfortunately he could not because the rain was predicted. Once again he promised **next week** have not heard back from him.

During the painting our dining room table was damaged. Matt and Dana were notified and immediate actions were taken. The table was delivered to Furniture Doctor of Augusta and repairs were coordinated by Dana. We received our table and could not be happier. Highly recommend Five Star Painting for service above and beyond the average.

We hired Five Star painting for drywall repair of the kitchen and family room ceilings, and painting the repaired ceilings, including the kitchen nook ceiling. A living room area also needed a small crack repair and painting afterward. This company was not fully committed to our job. For example, a crew of three arrived the first day, but only one stayed after laying the plastic. He worked that day, but left the second day shortly after arriving. The Owner, Matt Little, had emailed me before he started that the only thing that would prevent him from finishing the job in two days would be if the plaster did not dry due to too much humidity. He admitted the drywall had dried, but the one worker was called away to another job. When I asked if he had his own employees, he admitted he had subcontracted the job. So the only worker was called away because he was a subcontractor. The next day, which was the 3rd day, a different guy, the painter. was great, but he said he did not know if he could finish because he was alone. He complained to me that the job should have been finished the day before on the 2nd day. Matt had texted me that on this 3rd day, only the ceilings could be completed. I objected, and texted him that he had promised. He came and overrode the one worker, saying it would be completed that day. But later he texted me that only the ceilings could be done on this third day. Timing was crucial as I reminded him I had a scheduled 4th day event. But on this 3rd day. he later texted me that the exterior doors could not be painted because of rain. The exterior laundry room door could be painted I quipped because it was not outside. Later the rain subsided and stopped so the exterior side of the other door on the enclosed porch was done.The one worker did call his cousin to help. Beautifully painted kitchen and family room ceilings, simply beautiful. Although also well done, the entryway living area would match the kitchen and family room ceilings better if it had another coat of paint. The area where they painted the master bedroom wall would have looked better if they just painted over what they said was sweat instead of putting white plaster over the droplets first. My husband and I agree it shows a little there. I can also still see the crack at the baseboard they were supposed to replace. Matt said they did not replace it, but they sanded it, plastered and painted it. Even though he still charged for replacing it. I have to say, however, he did fix the small crack in the wall above it, which he originally said he would throw in. Still, it needs to be replaced. I was supervising to ensure everything is done right because Matt was not there to supervise most of the time, as he said he was also on another job. For example, the first day I came back after a little while and the subcontractor was on the ladder, and said, I am going to cut this tape in the middle and I said, No, you are supposed to remove the entire tape along the vaulted ceilings spanning kitchen and living room open areas, replace with new tape, mud and sand. These two rooms share one ceiling. He obeyed and removed the bad tape along the entire ceiling, but said the boss is going to charge you more, and I said, No, it is in the contract. Matt wanted payment before the clean-up, and said they would take care of everything. After I paid him, I showed them where they needed to clean up, and told Matt I should pay after cleanup. I noticed the light fixtures covers were on the floor. Although Matt said they would get it, they forgot. The next morning the worker came to do it, but my husband did it, as we wanted him to go on to take his kids to school. I also stayed the day before and the second day to finish cleanup of some spill...

They were prompt. And very personal. I would use them again.

overall the repair and painting was very good,one area coming down staircase repair not so good. this company is using subs to do job.Next time I due a repair I will use a company that has their own employees.

Since I'm new to the area I didn't know what to expect and I feel that the Owner and Employee both did a wonderful job! I think the painter actually exceeded my expectations and the work was well worth the cost! Thank you, Matt and Chris!

Matt is a great person to work with. We had two bubble gum pink rooms that needed a paint "adjustment" and after Matt's crew got done they are a beautiful neutral color. We requested it be done before the movers got here with our furniture and Matt saw to it that it was done. Thank you.
