Flat Roof Pros, Inc.

They proposed a 20 year warranty GE Silicone Enduris application onmy flat roof, specifying a 20 yr warranty, requiring a specific procedure for application. They did not clean the roof at all and applied the product over stones and gravel, and in fact it was acrylic, not the GE product. (GE told me they do not give a 20 yr warranty on residential roofs.) They did not get a permit, and refused to answer me when I asked more 3 times where they applied for it, the county or village, chaning the subect. I was 78 at the time, disabled and unable to climb a ladder see the finished product, believing they cleaned the roof. They gave me air photos from a drone and could not see the cottage cheese texture of the material as dirt and stones, one 1" square sticking to the acrylic the crows pulled off. It was to be smooth and white but was yellow. A man appeared same day they came and said he liked to help elderly and would make sure they did a good job, wanting to know the bank and branch I used and to get the final checks cut same day they started. (I think he was working for them. He said he was from a security business. I have problems with ongoing theft here, and learned skylight were not affixed firmly and loose to lift, large openings for two men at once in four rooms.) The crows were pecking away at the roof and I called them two months later but they did not call me back. I called the CA CEO owner whose license they were usingin NM, unlawful. He came and confimred it was bad job, but would only "repair", not remove and do proper procedure and use product in agreement. They refused to do anything but patch with more acrylic. CID gave them a pass on everything, his compay in five states. I got no help and am looking at over $40K to have junk rmoved and proper roof in place as was needed. There aere slopeing problems they did not address needed for proper drainage. I was really scammed, and seems am stuck, feeling robbed. Would not recommand these people. They are a foreign profit company licensed to work in US, from Ukraine. Can get no help with any agency. Now have water damaged drywall in five rooms, that will require huge sections of the ceiling drywall removed and replaced. CA owner believes he is not requried to do anything because CID gave him a pass. Feel CID should have left complaint in criminal complaint section. Their license was California License at the time, illegal. They had no qualified agent to inspect and sign off on roof, that is required ro live in NM and had no QA inspections as requried by law. The Attorney for CID was my handler and I could only Denied talking too any investigator the complant assigned to. No letter was ever issued by CID that they ever had a complaint against this company, nor any letter giving their decision to do nothing. Two years late I learned CID gave them a permit two years after work done without a satisfactory inspection, but attorney denies it now. I wanted to sell my house two years ago, but cannot in this condition. The CEO is refusing to do anything, in spite of wrong prduct, no adherance over stones and dirt, and no permit, no QA and no sign off by inspectors. CEO plans to use CID's TLC with no citation as a defense if I sue him. As senior hard to find an attorney to help me. Biggest nightmare of my life with any contractor. They were paid as they demanded and paid on time, and I have nothing but more expense to have it removed besides having proper roof, and damaged drywall with mold. I am out $26,000. Plus costs to remove before start over and repair interior. Referred by Home Advisor, and Angie at the time. No help offered by either of them.

This business is a scam and preys on the elderly. Bad installs and bad materials. Donà ¢à  à  t use them. They have no financial depth ti back their guarantees and that is purposeful.

For the first time in years, I'm confident in the integrity of my flat roof. Flat Roof Pros did an excellent job. The entire crew was professional, experienced and courteous. Customer service was excellent. Highly recommend.

Extremely thorough and professional. Explained how they would handle the solar panels, and asked me to come watch as they worked under and around one so I would rest easy. Came back twice to check work and once to touch up a couple of spots that they felt weren't quite right. I won't need them for another 20 years but then I'll hire them again.
