"Response to [Member Name Removed] complaint 08/27/2020 I acknowledge this complaint. The lumber used for this project was Weather Shield pressure treated lumber purchased from a reputable nationwide company. By the recommendation of our paint supplier, who is also a nationally known company, this type of lumber needs to cure for 60 to 90 days before stain or paint is applied. These materials need to be kept clean until paint or stain is applied. The high humidity and warm weather may cause it to discolor. If this happens it needs to be cleaned before paint or stain is applied. Because of the time laps between construction and painting we do not include painting or staining in our contracts; however, screen doors are not constructed of Best Weather Shield pressure treated lumber and need to be painted as soon as possible. In this case the painting was left to the owner. The door appears not to open and close properly because of the wood swelling due to moisture. It also appears there was damage to the door caused by forcing it to open and close. The portion of the work referred to as "My porch" is an area we screened in on an existing cement slab that was not level. Because it was an EXISTING concrete slab we have no way of knowing what type of precautions, if any, were taken to prevent the concrete from shifting. If it shifted it would affect anything that was constructed on it. Possibly cause distortion of that structure. I will address this matter post haste and get our work rectified. Like other companies the COVID-19 has affected us also. Making it difficult, at times to get people to expose themselves to the threat of this virus. I will make every attempt to get this rectified in and acceptable period of time. Most sincerely Ray (972) 965-5298"
"Thank you"
