Mr. LeRow misrepresented himself as able to work on Macs. Even though he failed to do what he was hired to do, I was impressed enough with his friendly "can do" attitude to give him another chance, this time @ web design - which he also failed to complete. I fired him out of frustration, with a balance due of the $500 I had advanced him (in good faith) on my account. Being new to Vermont (and grateful for his having shown up on schedule), I allowed him to keep the balance as a finder's fee for introducing me to a house painter who turned out to be just as disappointing. In eastern VT, It's really hard getting tradesmen to show up consistently to complete a project because they have so little competition. They work when they want, for however long they choose. I was willing to let that go until I tried to use the website for which I had given Mr. LeRow the advance to design. When I told him what trouble I was having with both the website & the painter, asking for the balance of the advance to be returned, he REFUSED. He is dishonorable. Since I have been unable to hire anyone in eastern VT to complete any job to my satisfaction, I will either confine my search for tradesmen to western NH (where the work ethic seems stronger - if only a tiny-bit) or DIY it.

I would hire him again.
