I had a fantastic experience with Floor Coverings International West Metro! Denise (their AWESOME project manager) came to my home to review floor and carpet samples and remained in contact / on site throughout the project. Their installation work was superb. I HIGHLY recommend this company!

I cannot stress how much of a mixed experience we have had with this company. The only thing stopping them from getting 1 star is genuinely- their accountability is amazing, and Greg the owner of this location does amazing at fixing the mistakes of his contractors. However, as far as customer experience goes, you MUST be forewarned that this is a company that overpromises and underdelivers. When we started our new hardwood installation project, we asked multiple times if we could have them inspect the subfloor for any concerns for water damage or water-related concerns. Our salesperson said the contractors will check The people that did the walk through also said they would check. When the contractors arrived and we offered to give them access to the crawlspace to examine it BEFORE doing work, we were flatly laughed off and told "we'll see if there's issues when we work on it." Because of the negligence to listen to our concerns, our flooring was installed by not doing the replacement we were first promised (it got billed as 'repair & replace) but instead a very patchwork job of trying to cover the worst of it. Within a week we had issues. The ground felt uneven and soft/hard. We were told to give it a few months, into summer, for it to settle in. But our mistake was listening to that advice. Our flooring became increasingly worst. And eventually we had no doubts something was wrong with the floor and asked them again fir help. But this really is where our nightmare began. The point of contact would take weeks at a time to respond to messages, frequently forgetting we existed. Eventually they told us to not contact them and to contact the owner directly, in what felt like a very annoyed email. The final steps once done with Grant, however, are really the only saving grace of this company. The company took responsibility for the issue of the installation they messed up, but they asked us to have our crawlspace inspected first. We wound up getting that work done, but the people we had look (across 3 companies) all said this was a foreseeable issue. We completed the recommended encapsulation to ensure there'd be no issues. Another 10,000 out of our pocket. The second round of them coming to our house wasn't much better than the first. This time the company used quality subfloor instead of the very sketch 'repair' they did before. However. They left our crawlspace an absolute mess and we will likely spend a few hours to clean up after them. The contractors they chose to trust truly are the worst, and because the contractors do the work, I can't recommend the company as a whole. Grant is the only saving grace, but even that came with an extra $5000 price tag.

Good company. Was very good about moving and putting the furniture close to its original spot after the carpet installation. For new homes I'm sure they will be great but for older homes that require a little more attention to details they're just okay.

I called a few companies over two months searching for quotes / timelines. Floor Coverings International were the last company called. I had a tight timeline for getting new flooring before a closet installation. Grant Collingsworth, the owner, came out the next day for the consultation and was very accommodating to get this job done for me. The install team were friendly and did a great job. The icing on the cake was the price was reasonable. The new floors look better than the others I already have in the home! I will definitely use them again.

What can I possibly say about Floor Coverings International West Metro Atlanta besides simplyâ ¦WOW! From the initial call and consultation through the final walkthrough, they were timely, professional, courteous, very customer service oriented and installed exactly what we wanted. They clearly stated what they planned to do each day and followed up with me at the end of the day to tell me what they accomplished and planned for the next day. Our job consisted of replacing carpet in a number of rooms, stretching the carpet in several rooms and changing one room from carpet to hardwood. We actually wanted to replace carpet in a few rooms, but changed our minds after discussing it with Denise, our representative from Floor Coverings International West Metro Atlanta. She seemed more concerned with our overall satisfaction than the amount of the overall sale. Since we had carpet and hardwood installed, we dealt with two different install teams. Both were equally professional, neat, clean and did a fantastic job with their respective craft. They cleaned up very well after the job was complete and made sure I was satisfied before they left each day. When it comes to the new hardwood, it butted up against existing hardwood that was installed in early 2006. We were very concerned with matching the two woods to the point that we ordered a border to separate the rooms. When the installer showed up, he recommended that we return the border as he was confident that he could match it well enough that it would not be noticeable. They used the same wood species and overlapped the sanding, staining and top coat expanding by one board with each process to feather out the blending of the location where the new meets the old. Well, the borders were returned if that tells you how well they matched! If you are considering any flooring needs, give Floor Coverings International West Metro Atlanta a call and ask for Denise! You will thank me later!
