Concrete Flatwork Repair & Resurface
Very amateurish work. Quality of work does not match pictures he shows you on his cell phone. The contractor also left debris in my yard. Did not get what I paid for.

My first impression of John Michael from Floor-to Ceiling.. He came to my home and evaluated the job at hand, to replace the damaged bricks and floor in my shed, which is attached to my garage, tuck and point bricks in 3 areas of at foundation of the garage. I asked about my patio flooring, he said that he wanted to look at the garage floors too as the shed is connected to the garage. He Priced the intire job out at 4,600 . The price went down to 4,200 to use concrete instead of replacing bricks in the shed only. The project: Cement the existing bricks on the back wall of the shed (THE JOB LOOKS TERRIBLE, HE TOLD ME THAT IT WILL LOOK BETTER AFTER IT DRIES, I have photos) Point and tuck the damaged bricks around the garage foundation 3 areas, (NO TUCK OR POINTING DONE, HE MERELY PLACED CEMENT IN THE CRACKS WITH OUT REMOVING THE MORTOR OR BRICKS) Pour a cement floor in the shed ( IT WAS NOT POURED IT WAS RESURFACE WITH QUICKCRETE ) Resurface the patio ( COMPLETED ) Resurface the 2 garage floors , PROMISED TO LOOK BRAND NEW! ( VERY POOR JOB DOES NOT LOOK LIKE NEW IT LOOKS LIKE A COAT OF PAINT ON THE FLOOR, ALL CRACKS AND PITS REMAIN. THEY ALSO ACCIDENTALLY SPILLED A JUG OF MOTOR OIL ON THE FLOOR WHICH CREATED A BIG MESS, REAPPLIED THE QUICKCRETE OVER THE AREA BUT IT DID NOT STICK, LOOKS HORRIBLE I HAVE PICTURES) PROMISED TO Remove and replace all of my items in the garage after the floor dried ( IITEMS WERE REMOVED, SOME REPLACED, MOST ITEMS SAT OUT IN THE RAIN OVER 5 DAYS, UNTIL MY HUSBAND AND I REPLACE THEM ) ADDITONAL INFORMATION MIKE told me that this project would take no more than 2 days. ( PROJECT IS NOT COMPLETED 7 DAYS LATER) JOB WAS TO BEGIN SAT OCT 7, BETWEEN 830-9AM , NO CALL NO SHOW, I CALL HIM TO FIND OUT WHY THE JOB DID NOT START, HE SAID THE WEATHER CALLED FOR RAIN, THE WEATHER THAT DAY WAS SUNNY AND BRIGHT! ). HE ARRIVED THE NEXT DAY SUN OCT 8 AT 1200 TO ASSESS THE JOB AND GET SUPPLIES. MIKE also told me that he had a cement job near by so he would tie that job into mine. ( NO CEMENT WAS USED ONLY QUICKKRETE FROM HOMEDEPOT) INITIAL CONTACT He told me that he would send me a contRACT via e-mail ( NEVER SENT ME A CONTRACT) HE CALLED ME ON OCT. 11 AND TOLD ME THAT THE WORK WAS COMPLETED BY 1PM AND ASKED WHEN I WOULD BE HOME TO RECEIVE PAYMENT. I ARRIVED HOME AT 4 PM AND CALLED HIM TO TELL HIM THAT THE WORK WAS NOT COMPLETED. HE ARRIVED AT MY HOME AROUND 5 PM I POINTED OUT THE OBVIOUS HE SAID THAT IT WILL BE COMPLETED BY TOMORROW, THAT THE REASON THE CONCRETE LOOKED UNFINISHED AND DISCOLORED WAS THAT IT WAS NOT DRY FULLY BUT ASSURED ME THAT IT WOULD LOOK GREAT BY MORNING. I TOOK HIS WORD AND PAID THIS MAN! OCT 12, HE DID NOT ARRIVE AT MY HOME, OCT 13 HE DID NOT ARRIVE AT MY HOME, OCT 14 HE DID ARRIVE AT MY HOME. I CALLED MY CREDIT CARD COMPANY AND REQUESTED A DISPUTE DUE TO NOT RECEIVNG WORK COMPLETE AS PROMISED. I THEN CALLED MIKE JOHN AND LEFT HIM A MESSAGE THAT HE WILL BE RECEIV

The communication between the foreman and customer was poor. Played the waiting game. Told me that he was going to remove bricks to point and tuck, but merely placed cement over the bricks. When he came out to give me the estimate he was very thorough explained that work would look brand new, the job was less than brand new.

DO NOT HIRE! Unaware of how to repair, build or do anything right. They are a rip-off. slow, does not clean-up after themselves. They are all about money. Messed up my front steps, garage is leaking, roofing was not put on correctly. They did not scrape garage before painting and painted it the color they wanted to. Unacceptable!! My grandbaby could have done a better job on the driveway. I checked with city hall and they were not registered with the city, kept asking for a work permit; never got it. Terrible, terrible.....lied that they tuckpointed the chimney, did not even have a ladder that tall. This company should not be in business, rating should be less than 1 star.

STAY AWAY from this Cement/Roofing Contractor! Concrete (and Roofing) Company, not to do business with... "FLOOR TO CEILING" Cement Contractors (a.k.a. OHIO CONCRETE & ROOFING). Two rather unsavory guys came out to replace my Driveway Apron & Sidewalk. I stopped to check it out & pay. It was dusk and they assured me, it would look great at morning light, (self-leveling and all)! It didn't! Instead of 6" of cement, it was 1/2" in places. Bonds and permits never made it to City Hall as promised. After that I still gave them a portion of the money and then they gave me a series of excuses, including hospitalization after hornet bites, broken legs among endless broken promises of a refund! OHIO CONCRETE & ROOFERS, LLC is actually registered to the Home Family Club, located at 6450 Pearl Rd. in Parma!!! (What is that about?) FLOOR To CEILING is registered to an address; 2813 State Rd., again in Parma. STAY AWAY!!! P.S. I would have given a "0" if permitted! I also wish I could have uploaded photos from this incompetent company!
