Florida Fence Company

Florida Fence Company did extremely shoddy work for me. The installer, Andy, and his helper used the wrong materials all the while knowing they were using the wrong materials. My complaint went to voice mail and I received no response. I contacted the Brevard County Licensing office who provided me the owners phone number. I was immediately chastised and castigated by the owner for calling his private number. He accused me of being snappy and said I have not given him enough time to fix the problem. Jason Bame came to my home and wrote a very specific work order to move the gate from its current location and install a fence where the gate was located using two post mounts to the concrete. Remove the old fence from the opposite side of the column and install the current gate. Fix remaining section of fence where the gate will not reattach. Rebuild on-site vinyl 6 ft. fence using new concrete and stainless steel screws to secure posts. Of course, the *owners* required payment in advance before scheduling the job. Arriving four hours late, Andy was totally unaware of what he was supposed to be doing. He knew he did not have the correct materials, but Andy proceeded with the job anyway. Andy used routed posts for end posts and did not have the brackets to attach the end posts to or even close to the structure. There are gaps between the fence posts and the structure you can drive a truck through (so much for privacy). A small gust of wind will knock the fence over. Jason Bame came by at the end of the job to wash the dirt off the porch and apparently took no notice that Andy had used the wrong materials or that the fence was not attached to the structure. (At the time, I did not know Jason Bame was the owner. I thought he was only the salesman). I have been accused by the owner, Jason Bame, of not giving him a chance to solve the problem even though he has been *as accommodating as possible* and knew at the time the fence was installed, the wrong materials were used. Apparently, he was waiting for me to notice before he took any action. Amy, the office manager, provided extremely courteous customer service until I emailed her photos of the shoddy workmanship, then it was straight to voicemail. To say the fence did not meet my expectations is an understatement. They may be paid on May the second because they can purchase the materials needed to complete the job on May 8th. The did not leave any clearance between the gate and the ground. Now the gate scraps the ground.

Salesman does a great job of writing down what you want. However, the install is a different story. We had to ask them to redo their work twice and they still didn’t get it right. They didn’t match the height of the adjacent fence as requested. Top of fence line wasn’t straight another redo. Installer totally out of the loop. We also asked for a six inch scallop they totally didn’t even try. I reccomend getting a comfortable chair and watch them put up each board. Fence did not meet our expectations.

Jason the owner came out to give an initial estimate. He spent a lot of time explaining his company and how they stand behind their work. I did receive other estimates at lower cost but what inclined me to hire them was how personable and confident he was. When his crew showed up to work on the scheduled day they were quick to get things done. The entire shadow box fence was hand built with a full bag of concrete on each post. The fence gate frames are constructed of aluminum which really makes the gates light weight and easy to use. They really build a good fence and I highly recommend Florida Fence if you’re in the market for a new fence.

Very professional. They contacted me just to let me know they were on sight. Cleaned up and removed old fencing. The sign they placed in my yard will stay up for a while for neighbors to see. Thank you Andy and your team.
