We've lived fully off grid for 16 years, so I have had extensive experience with numerous solar installers. Most, unfortunately, are really not that great. Florida Solar Design Group is 100% top notch. If you are considering solar within FSDG's service area, THIS is the company you want to hire. We have a particularly challenging installation, off-grid on a boat-only barrier island with no grid power available. Although many companies will claim that they can handle off-grid installations, relatively few actually have any meaningful amount of experience with them. They generally will take their standard approach for on-grid installations and attempt to adapt it, rarely with good results. After our existing solar was badly damaged by Hurricane Ian, I struggled for a long time to find anyone truly knowledgeable enough to work on it for us (a process further complicated by the fact that most companies prefer to only work on the mainland.) Jason Szumlanski of Florida Design Group, however, is equally comfortable with either on grid or off grid work. He knows off grid like the back of his hand, and has even actually lived off grid himself. I could tell in the first 90 seconds on the phone with him that he knew what he was doing better than anyone from any of the other companies I had screened. Florida Solar Design Group did an absolutely outstanding job on our installation. Pricing was extremely fair and completely transparent, and equipment and installation choices were carefully tailored to our specific location and needs rather than driven by something specific they'd like to sell, something I ran into repeatedly with other companies. The installation is incredibly clean and well done and the work was always done promptly and highly professionally. I was particularly impressed with their problem-solving skills when they ran into the inevitable unexpected complication here and there. Solutions to such complications were truly well thought out to address all underlying issues and potential domino effects. Communication was also 5+ stars. Anytime I had a question about anything, texts or emails were answered within a few hours at most. One delightful detail was that the team was as enthusiastic and invested in the outcome of our installation as I was myself. They never cut corners. Everything was done with best practices, from the grand scale to the smallest of details. I had high expectations and they still managed to exceed them. Thank you, Florida Solar Design Group!

Susan in the office always answered our calls and responded to any questions we had. Dominek was great in explaining the financial aspects of our project. Jason was there for the installation and explaining our system, setting up the app and contacts with FPL. The installation crew (four) were on time, clean and very polite. This a local company that we highly recommend. A positive experience at all phases of the project.

I previously had solar, but replaced it when I replaced my roof. My previous solar Company gave me a quote to remove and then reinstall my solar. When it came time to reinstall the solar they raised the price by 250%! I told them this was unethical and looked at my options. I installed a new solar system with Solar Design at a greater expense but what a difference. Totally professional in all my interactions with them . Absolutely the opposite of my previous experience and well worth the difference in price. This Company is on of the professional and ethical companies Iâ  ve dealt with for our home in Florida. 1st class in everything they do. I wouldnâ  t look at any other solar Companies Florida Design is the best!

Wow!! I can't say enough good things about this company. After installing new solar panels for my pool ,I had too much pressure for the vacuum to work properly. After posting a comment on the vacuum issue, I received a phone call from Florida Solar Design Group asking if they could send out a tech to fix the issue. The very next day they sent a tech, who added a control valve at no cost to me. The vacuum works fine now and I am impressed they went out of their way to make sure I was satisfied. They should be proud they are setting the high standards that all others need to attain.

Very professional, did work on date that was scheduled

On 2/24/17 I had Florida Solar Design Group install solar panels and update my existing pumping equipment to heat my pool. Since that time I have been able to enjoy my pool almost on a daily basis as a result. Not only is this system Environmentally Friendly, I don`t have that annoying sound of my electrical meter spinning at WARP speed. I am extremely pleased with the investment I have made. The Sales and Installation teams were top-notch and had my system up and running within 2 days of their start of the project. I would NOT hesitate to give Florida Solar Design Group a recommendation for use to anyone in the future.

Owner called me to follow up on my questions regarding pool heater efficiency standards when I was trying to decide on a larger unit vs. the initial smaller unit that was quoted. Very good example of superb customer service which impacted my selection process.

This company is top notch. They stayed in touch every step of the way in our project. The solar pool heater project took 8 days from first visit to completion. Our pool heat reached 93 degrees in 9 to 10 days and we are able to maintain it with the use of the automatic temperature sensor that was recommended. It is well worth the extra money. You can set it and forget it. Their customer service is best in the business. They were able to explain the process and recommendations in a manner that were easy to understand which helped us in making our decision.

Florida Solar Design Group are by far the best experience that I have had in a very long time.
