"The previous reviews are not false. HomeAdvisor vets all reviews and may reach out to you as a follow-up to this poor review. I'm sorry for your experience. I did apologize to your husband for your experience & discounted the original $900 job down to $500 in the hopes that you would not write a poor review. Obviously, hope is a bad strategy and runs the risk of getting 0.5 star. Maricio 'the worker' started the job 8:20am. I purchased trim and matching transitions that morning for the job and came back at 10:15am to drop-off materials and check on the job. Everything seemed fine with the homeowner and work was progressing well. I returned again around 12:45pm and it was evident that Maricio was going to complete the job before 3pm so I again checked with the homeowner that everything was going well, and the homeowner's response was that it looked great and that there were no issues. Maricio completed the installation of the job & I received a request to come back when the homeowner's husband was home at 4:15 pm which I did and was confronted with 3 issues: 1.) Cabinet damage next to the refrigerator which was appx 2 in long. Response: I offered to fill and paint. 2.) Appx 1/8 x 3in gap in 1/4 round due to flooring transition to foyer. Response: I offered to fill with white caulk to make the gap disappear 3.) LVP floating floor flexed appx 1 to 2 millimeters in a 1ft section at transition to foyer floor. Response: I offered to brad nail down in 2 spots and fill/color blend nail holes so they would not be noticeable. Responses where not accepted and an exchange of $500 occurred which made the job a great deal in my opinion & I did apologize to Becki's husband Mike at that point for not achieving expectations. I will again take this opportunity to apologize for the unfortunate experience. I seek to only to achieve 5 stars which Maricio has achieved on other jobs for Footprints. I can't speak to phone calls because I don't monitor my installers to this extent, but he did complete the installation within the day and within a timeframe that was more than acceptable to my expectations. Given the complexity of the install, price, purchased materials and efficiency of install within a few days of the quote I would ask that you perhaps reconsider the 0.5 star reviews. If nothing else, Footprints does not deserve a 0.5 star next to 'Value for Money.' $500 for any 2 room LVP install with free transitions and free 1/4 round worth $100 in additional material... Technically, that brings the project down to $400. Can I at least get 2 stars under this category? Even if you rip out the 1/4 round and reinstall to desired detail the project 'value' has to be better than a 0.5 star. Any small concession on the 0.5 star ratings would be helpful."
