We were under the impression that Forrest Scott fencing was the original, family owned company that has been the established business in this area for decades-- Forrest Scott fencing is NOT the same as the fencing company with a similar name which was founded in 1957. We did not receive what the signed, accepted, and paid in full contract explicitly stated. The balance of the contract was paid 7/31/2020 because we wanted to open a new work order to come back and add battens on the traditional style cedar fencing. We were assured ( by the salesman ) that the work crew would be completing the project that day (7/31/2020) or at most, they might have to return Monday, 8/3/2020 to finish the removal of debris. We were told (by the salesman) that the owner, Forrest Scott, directed that the original work order had to be PAID IN FULL before a new work order could be opened. We paid the balance by phone late 7/31/2020 and signed the new contract for the battens in good faith-- trusting that the salesman and Forrest Scott Fencing were going to honor the original contract. The contract was for 250 ft, 6 ft high cedar fencing, with 4 x 6 treated pine posts, securely set in an 8 inch x 30 inch concrete-filled footing. Also, 250 ft. demo and removal of existing fence, removing complete posts. THIS IS WHAT WE GOT-- approximately 249 ft. length of the fence. old posts not completely removed, where the new posts were set on top of old posts that were broken off below grade. Some of the new posts can actually be moved simply by the pressure of a hand against them-- the concrete footing was not as stated in the contract. A quality control employee came out and spray painted 34 pickets with orange paint as they were substandard quality and needed to be replaced. In summary, we have a short, wobbly, orange polka-dotted fence line. The neighbor owns half this fence with us, and because of the shortened fence, their once fenced in the yard now has a gap in the back. We were told by the salesman this was a two-day job. The crew began this project 7/30/2020 and here it is 9/15/2020 with no communication from Forrest Scott Fencing. We regret we took the word of the salesman and signed a contract with Forrest Scott Fencing. I would never consider using again or recommending this fencing company. They treated us this way knowing about our future projects-- 355 Ft. backline fence; a 400 ft, sideline fence; and a 60 ft. frontline fence with an electric gate. ***UPDATE 9/17/20 - Forrest Scott Fencing was apprised of the review and responded. A 2 man crew was sent out on 9/16/20 and the specifications of the contract have been met to our satisfaction. We have parted ways and wish them luck.

I cannot give more than I have given until I actually see a fence in my yard. They were quick to take a payment of 1/2 of the quoted amount and one call came out a couple of weeks (or more) and marked my yard. The markings are all gone but still no fence and no word from them.
