Very unprofessional and shady service. The initial call with Andrew went okay, but he heard I was interested in using my own cameras he seemed disinterested almost immediately. Forget the fact I still needed smart locks across my 4,500 sqft house and a guest house and an overall system for surveillance and maintenance. He asked for pictures which I sent. He went dark. I asked for an update a few days later since they canceled our in-person consult and they never responded to the personal information they asked me to provide. I asked if it was a bad fit, Andrew responded?no, I will be in touch?. 2 weeks of silence. I engaged Telstar who has been great. They have already been out to the property twice, provided proposals and potential start dates. That how you conduct business. Not this shady mickey mouse Fortress company which comes off as super sleazy. The fact that they asked for all of my personal information and pictures of my house and decides to go dark after providing all of that? That is EXTREMELY concerning to me. Urge you to stay away. EDIT: I received a call from the owner (John) and he has apologized. It was a good call and I was impressed with how he handled it. Its a tough time and people make mistakes, so we agreed to try and give it another shot. Unfortunately, I have already contracted with Telstar for most of the things I needed, but there are a few other upcoming projects TBD (ex. Safe purchases/installations). I plan on giving them a ring in a few months once we are settled into the new home and to give them another shot. I have bumped the review up to 3 stars purely on the professionalism and poise demonstrated by John. Will update my review again pending the upcoming project.

I contacted them from the home advisor referral. They called me hours later and said someone would contact me within 4 hours. Two days later I got a call. Should have known then not to use them but set appointment and guy came and was not familiar with my system and asked if I had the manual. Wasted an hour and said he thought it was the battery but he couldn t find one and it was going to cost me additional hours to locate one. I said forget it and I would get my own battery and he charged me $150. Said he would send me a receipt that I never got. Immediately after he left the system starting beeping again. Total waste of money. I would not recommend them at all.

Provided, upfront very accurate quote for the project. Implemented and completed work exactly as planned. Very knowledgeable. Very good at home security. Professional, courteous service beyond my expectations.

$200 plus to change out a smoke detector is over the top on charges. Will not use them again due to quoting a service call at a much lower price and then gouging me on the service call to install. Edited Rating: They called repeatedly to correct the issue. I am impressed with how much the ratings meant to them, and were willing to come to an agreement with me.
