Fortuna Construction

I needed to replace a large deck and hired John at Fortuna Construction for the job. He was generous with his time at the initial site visit, explained the different options, and provided me with a range of quotes that allowed me to pick and choose the materials and features that would fit my needs and my budget. Since I would not be on site during the project, I wanted to be sure that I hired someone who would be honest, trustworthy and able to manage all aspects of the job from start to finish. John is that person, and he kept me at ease with frequent updates and regular communication as the project commenced. John is an outstanding craftsman and considers the building codes to be just the minimum when producing high quality construction. In the next few years I will be looking at a bathroom remodel and kitchen remodel, and John at Fortuna Construction will be at the top of my call list.

This is the second time we have hired John to do a serious remodeling project. The first was a master bathroom, which was so exceptional that we were happy to hire him to remodel our entryway and a second bathroom, as well as a few smaller odd jobs. John worked very hard on the project, was diligent and thoughtful, and just like the first time, we are very happy with the quality of the finished project. We would not hesitate to hire him again and cannot recommend him highly enough!

John did an outstanding job rebuilding my covered deck. The work exceeded my expectations and was completed in the time promised. I highly recommend Fortuna Construction.

John’s work ethic is extremely high and he is 100% reliable. He keeps the work site clean and tidy, which we greatly appreciated. Above all, the quality of the work of the finished project far exceeded our high expectations. He’s done a wonderful job on our bathroom and walk through closets. We have already hired him again for future projects on our home and recommend him very highly.

We had recently hired Fortuna Construction to install a new front door, hang new shutters along the front of house and replace all our gutters and downspouts. His experience was greatly appreciated in choosing the right front door for our needs as well as the shutter style for our home. Our gutters were old and in some areas not draining. We had rot above and under our front door and all has been repaired. Everything looks great. There was minimal mess. He leaves everything clean and tidy each time he leaves. I would highly recommend him as a contractor because you will have peace of mind knowing your job is done correctly and in the time frame promised. This is our third time hiring him for our home projects and we have never been disappointed.

John did a bathroom remodel for us and I would recommend and use him again. He is a hard worker, prompt and reliable and always responds to any questions quickly. The work he did is beautiful!

We hired John Fortuna to do a bathroom remodel in our master. He was very helpful with suggestions to maximize our very small space. He is very thorough, knowledgeable, honest, organized and dependable. He shows up when he says he will, he keeps the work area clean and neat, very respectful of your property and completes job on schedule. He uses quality materials and diligent in application. We have done four bathroom remodels in the past 18 years in our other homes and this one was by far the most successful due to the skill and organization of the contractor. We would highly recommend him!

Fortuna Construction is great. John was very conscientious with the job, even though it was putting in a new bar and likely a small project for him. He does great work; completed the project on time AND under budget, which is always a nice surprise. I wouldn't hesitate a second to recommend him for construction/remodeling and will definitely use him again if the need arises. John's slogan 'Committed to Quality & Customer Satisfaction' says it all... that is what he does.

John was on time, very professional, did an excellent job, finished ahead of schedule. He also kept us updated on the project via texts or phone calls. And, helped me with any issues I had ordering cabinets, granite, etc.

I chose John Fortuna Construction based on the positive on-line reviews and because of our initial consultation. Throughout the renovation of my kitchen, he was always punctual, professional and kept us informed as to his progress. I had my kitchen redone from cabinets, counters, sink, floors, lighting and paint and John did all the work himself”no subcontractors. He did not begin the work until he had all the materials which substantially cut down the time we were without a full kitchen. He was extremely helpful in the designing and choosing of materials and I am very pleased with the end result. We now have an updated modern kitchen in our 25 year old home that is extremely functional and beautiful. I would definitely hire Fortuna Construction for future home projects and I highly recommend him to others.

John did a great job replacing 15 of our windows. This was our 3rd project with John, and each has turned out great. He happened to have an opening to complete our project while we were on vacation, and we came home to beautiful new windows, with no mess left behind. He is very careful to leave the house as he found it, or better. We are so pleased with our new windows, and looking forward to a more energy efficient winter!

John kept every promise he made, and did so with a smile. He got all the work done in the time he predicted, but never seemed too rushed to stop and explain his process, or take an extra step for our convenience. Nice work--great guy.

He is the only one I use for construction needs.

John is a professional. His work is exceptional and a good value. He does everything he can to get the job done right and on time. He is a pleasure to work with.

Fortuna Construction provides superior work and results! John was extremely knowledgeable about the repairs I requested and offered useful advice when reviewing them for the first time. The work was done quickly and accurately with close attention to detail. I couldn't have asked for it to be done any better--just excellent! The quoted cost was reasonable and well worth it. I would absolutely recommend this skilled expert/craftsman to anyone needing work done on their residence.

John did a fantastic job. He is a real pro. I have had other contractors in the past, but John will be my contractor from now on. The quality of his work is the very best. The project was done in the time that he said. I will tell everyone that He is the best. Grant Wright
