The boxes were poorly marked and consequently we could not figure out what went where. During the packing, one of the packers helped himself to a beer out of my fridge then tried to hide the empty bottle in my bathroom vanity. Also, we kept a small tin that contained a dozen silver dollars and some foreign coins. I forgot that they were in a basket with some linens. The tin made it but the contents went missing. During the assembly of the beds, lack of competence resulted in ruining the bedrails to a set bought at Costco for $2500. The bed is now unusable. My only option is to find someone to custom make some rails for that bed. It will not be cheap. Lastly, one of my living room end tables had the veneer knocked off of a substantial portion. I do not know who is qualified to re-veneer wood. It too will not be cheap and more than likely not cost justified. Basically, I am out a couple of thousand dollars due to their incompetence and sticky fingers. FOX will only pay up to $50 and claims that limit is set by the NC Utilities Commission. This is not a simple case of damage during the move but one of gross negligence. I find myself with no reasonable recourse. When confronted, the supervisor told me that he did not know any of this. However, when I approached his manager I was told that his guys reported the damages immediately. If that is the case, why did I have to discover the damages on my own?

Although they were prompt, they lost a very important piece we need to put our sofa back together as well as the screws. They claim they would send a form for us to fill out which at this point does not help us in putting our sofa back together. Safety was important. As a note, if you take your furniture apart, they will not help you to put it back together. This was not mentioned in the initial call. I understand that their time begins when they leave their initial location. They called and told me they were fueling up. Well, that was the time I was being charged. They should either had fueled up before or not begin charging me until after they had fueled up. I also had several broken glass Pyrex dishes. THINK TWICE BEFORE HIRING THIS COMPANY!

Everyone beware of this company. I moved from my house outside of Charlotte. When they moved my things from one location they left several boxes and items in the house. They tried to charge me to go back out. Then they moved me into the new locations. The guys showed up in flip flops with no moving equipment. They used my hand trucks and put them back on their truck and did not return after they forced me to sign that I have received all my items. They said they would not leave all my furniture until I signed a form to say I received everything. I did not know if I received everything because they did not count the boxes and my garage was packed to the ceiling. Boxes were crushed. When I go through unpacking I only found 80% of my things. They have not returned the items and this was back in March. They damaged my antique desk, my china cabinet, put holes in two of my walls in my brand new home and scuffed my hardwood floors. I have yet to file a claim but was told that I would not get anything for the boxes and glassware they damaged because they did not pack the boxes. They threw boxes off the truck. I do not care what kind of boxes you have they could not withstand that type of damage. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We moved from NC to FL. Taran was great on the phone organizing and accommodating my changing schedule. Wayne and his team loaded and unloaded on schedule and everything made it. No glass breakage at all. ( We wrapped our glass shelves in bubble wrap and towels before boxing) polite and fast. Thankyou Fox Moving.

They were superb! Went the extra mile to find a lost caster for my bed. Jason, Devin, Isaiah, and Conte were quick efficient but careful with all my belongings.

Fox provided a quote for our move, which was $350 less than a competitor quote. However, after we paid our deposit, the owner conveyed that he incorrectly estimated the amount, but he would honor the price. Prior to our move, we sold two rooms of furniture, which decreased the amount of furniture counted in our initial estimate. Upon Fox arrival, we were told by the supervising employee that Frank, the owner, instructed his team to treat us poorly. Regardless, we treated the team with kindness and respect, including a tip, lunch, and drinks for each employee on the first day. Here are the main issues summarized: 1) We had to pay an additional $451.50 because the moving crew arrived with only one truck instead of two. Although this was Fox error, we were still forced to pay or find a last-minute replacement moving company, which was not possible. This added additional expenses, an additional day to our move, and delayed our cleaning crew, which nearly delayed closing. 2) Our furniture was knicked, damaged, and broken. While Fox is obligated to replace and repair broken/damaged items, we have received zero communication on the next steps since our claim was filed. 3) The crew severely damaged baseboards, walls, and put a large hole and gash in our upstairs wall. Fox solution was to send out a repairman who spackled over the holes and never came back. You cannot spackle over a significant hole in the drywall. It will eventually crack or break if anything hits it wrong. Not to mention, the baseboards were also repaired with wood putty, despite having large gashes and chunks missing. The initial repair job for the baseboards is of very poor quality and glaringly obvious. Our move dates were 1/15 1/16. We have yet to receive definitive next steps from Fox after our claim was filed. If you do not mind having your house and belongings damaged, or paying more than you were quoted, this company is for you. If you are looking for a professional moving service that will honor their price and not destroy your furniture and house, look elsewhere. If I could give Fox zero stars, I would. just fix and save.
