He was nice kept saying he did not know how much the part was going to be had to call it in was going to wave the 75 service call if I had the work done then said the cost was $247 for a part that cost $38.00 wow. I needed my furnace.

Based on the time spent and other costs of running a business, I think you were charged appropriately for the pricing in our industry. I am sorry you are unhappy with the cost, but I have labor, trucks, taxes, worker's comp, etc. etc. that I need to apply the cost of to every job. Thank you for taking the time to give us a review. This company is great to work with. They responded very quickly to my need for replacement of electric hot water tank. They provided a reasonable estimate and scheduled the work to be done quickly and during a convenient time/day based on my schedule. Ed, the plumber, did a great job. I will definitely hire them in the future for any additional plumbing work if needed. Thank you!

I left a message at 4am after discovering my furnace quit blowing heat. They were quick to contact me that next morning and send out a Tech to diagnose my problem. The technician was very helpful, knowledgeable and helped me understand every step and what was going on. He took the time to be thorough, he was polite and very helpful. I would use this company again but I have one question that I didn t understand but maybe I didn t ask it properly. So I hope the owner or manager will be reading this review and give me a answer on two things. First question is what would I have done if he couldn t have gotten my limit switch to work until a new one came in? Second question is why they don t have parts at the ready for emergencies and I had to wait 5 days for it to be delivered and installed? And one thing I feel they could improve upon is a more detailed bill explaining exactly what the charges are for, the cost of the part, cost of labor. Bc when you have to pay x amount but the part only costs 30 dollars, Bc I know from pricing it myself. Then how do we the consumer know if they are marking up the part by a ridiculous amount or charging a ridiculous labor rate. I would like to see them give more detailed statements so we as a consumer could better understand what we are paying for. That s why I gave 4.5 stars on value Bc how can I know if I got value or not. I will say they fixed it, they were very prompt during a very cold period where they had many service calls, so that s why I gave 5 stars for everything Bc I could have waited a day or two. Also the technician was very very good. I know I pointed out some good questions and a good point about the billing, but when you need heat and they were the first to respond, prompt and help me get heat back in my house that next day, then the questions and billing statement flaw seem not so huge. But I would have given 5 stars for everything if it wasn t for a statement with just a flat price instead of an itemized bill. I would love to hear what they would have had to do had he couldn t have made the old limit switch work until my new one came in. Would I have had to go 5 days without heat or would they have ran and got me one that day or the next.

About the parts and potential for waiting, there are many, many furnace manufacturers and within those mfg many styles of furnaces. It would be impossible to stock a service van with enough inventory to be prepared for any situation. With most of the manufacturers, we have ready access here in Cleveland for most of the major mfg and their parts. Sometimes, there is an old style or strange part that is not in stock locally and, yes, you will have to wait. That is the reason that I always like to see homeowners with good quality equipment and local warehouses with as many parts as possible. We could not even house all the different parts in our Fred's building to be prepared for every situation. As for our pricing, we use a flat rate which encompasses the parts, labor, and all costs that go along with running the business. You are also paying for the expertise of my technicians.
