Freedom plumbers did a great job replacing our almost 40 year old water heater. On time professional service. They also put some on/off valves on our plumbing lines so we could turn water off to the outdoor faucets. They also replaced the outdoor faucets which were leaking. I would definitely recommend them they did a great job and the price was fair.

Had a drain blockage in my basement bathroom shower and laundry room floor drain. Freedom Plumbing worked on the blockage and represented to me that it was cleared. I paid them $595.00, however, when the blockage returned a few days later, Freedom informed me that I had to commit to hiring them to perform their plumbing mainline clearing service at an additional cost of between $1,400 to $2,000. That (according to them) was the only way to repair the problem. I hired another plumbing service (Michael and Sons) and they successfully cleared the blockage.

Excellent, excellent work! They replaced my water main/service in 1 day and had the holes filled in and concrete poured the next day. While I initially thought the price was high, it was a stellar job well worth the money, done by a group of conscientious folks that were great to deal with. Everyone I worked with was very professional and courteous and always kept me up to date about how the project was progressing: Jose, Nemo, Josue, Douglas, Luis, TJ, and Joe. After each day of work, they cleaned up after themselves so well that you would almost never have known they were there. The trenchless pipe install method worked really well and quickly. I was able to stay in the house during the whole project because they made sure I had running water for as long as possible until they had to cut it off for the pipe replacement and hookup. Knowing I had a -20- year warranty on their work and on the pipe itself left me feeling better than I would be in good hands if anything were to occur in the future. *The only reason I knocked off 0.5 stars from the review was the scheduling process. I got my estimate pretty quickly but I had to call multiple times to get the job scheduled. More communication would have been better. Before accepting the estimate, I did even more extensive research than the first time I used the company. I verified that all licenses were up to date at every agency they supplied numbers for. I read every single review I could find on every site, including the Better Business Bureau (no complaints found!). I researched the history of the company and its owner Ricky Salinas. In the end, I felt confident that I had made the right choice in choosing Freedom Plumbers for this extensive project. Day 1: TJ and his assistant removed the old water heater (I took that opportunity to replace my 20-year-old model) and capped off the pipes so I could still have running water. Jose and Nemo arrived to do the water main replacement work. There was a misunderstanding with my estimate, which was made for PVC, but I actually needed a copper line because the house electrical was grounded on the pipe. Ricky approved the use of copper while honoring the original estimate price. Jose knew I would need photo evidence to provide to the water company to get them to adjust my bill after the repair, so he would always contact me when it was a good opportunity to capture various stages of the project. Day 2: Douglas and Josue arrived to fill in the holes from the boring machine and help with the concrete replacement inside and out. The concrete man did a beautiful job on the new sidewalk section replacement, as well as repairing the hole in my concrete slab. It was perfectly level and ready the next day for the installation of my new water heater. Joe arrived in the afternoon to check a shower that had low water pressure. He was able to narrow the cause of the issue and we made a plan for the next day to do the work, which would involve cutting into the drywall on the other side of the wall from the shower assembly. Day 3: The concrete man returned to remove the protective lumber and tarp while the concrete dried overnight. He even put down some mulch and grass seed around the disturbed sections of grass near the water meter! My new water heater was installed by TJ and his assistant. I had warm water when they left and hot water not long after. Joe returned to finish the work on my shower. He had to cut a hole in the drywall on the other side of the wall, but he cut as little as possible to do his work and recommended I install an access panel instead of all new drywall (which I did about 2 weeks later). I had picked out a nice upgraded shower head and matching faucet handles the night before and he installed all the new parts, including a water diverter that required some work on the copper and PVC pipes. Hooray for hot water and high pressure!

When I made the appointment for our septic tank pump out service, Freedom Pumpers quoted a price of $295 for the service. They did say that there would be additional charges if more than 1000 gallons needed to be pumped, if they had to dig to get to the septic tank lid, etc. (They pumped out 1250 gallons and had to dig down one foot). We have lived in our house for 35 years and have had the tank pumped out every 3 to 5 years. We have NEVER had to pay more than the price we were quoted when the work was scheduled, and $295 is in the ballpark of other companies. Our final charge for this service from Freedom Pumpers was $460. Once they started the work and then started adding additional charges, what is the homeowner supposed to do, tell them we changed our mind? It was my error to think this experience would be similar to what we have experienced in the past. I found out later that a neighbor had this service done by another company a couple weeks ago and they paid $300 to have 1500 gallons pumped and the company had to dig to get to their septic tank lid too. No additional charges were assessed to them. There are better companies than Freedom Pumpers out there for septic tank pumping.

I hired Freedom Plumbing randomly from Homeadvisor.com. The first guy that came out was intimidating and basically told me I am screwed and it is going to cost a lot to fix. Stupidly enough, I agreed to pay them $2700.00 to bring a back hoover to dig up the part of the septic filed that was soft. They dug three holes in about an hour and left. I would have gladly used a shovel to save that $2700.00. They hooked me up with an OSE-certified soil scientist which is a requirement for this type of job. I agreed to pay this person $2350.00 on 7/13/2020 to create a simple plan to move my septic lines from the current drain field to my alternate drain field, a task the soil scientist assured me was a simple one. After more than 25 emails asking for a status of the plan and six weeks with zero contact from either party, I was informed that the plan was returned by the USPS because the postage fell off Now I am the village. More than 6 weeks have passed with no simple plan submitted for a permit and my septic field is still completely dug up with zero progress. Since being unable to contact the soil scientist that Freedom Plumbing brought in, I contacted Freedom Plumbing to share my concerns and was asked to give them one day to clear things up. Needless to say, things did not get cleared up. I informed Freedom Plumbing that I would be willing to continue our working relationship but thought it appropriate that they refund half of the $2700.00 I paid them to dig three holes in my yard. Literally every plumbing company I have spoken to since then believes it is insane to charge $2700.00 to dig three holes. Freedom Plumbing stood to make thousands more in repair work but being that the owner is unwilling to refund half of the $2700.00, I have decided to terminate my relationship with them. In addition, they decided I needed to be on a pump and haul septic schedule and would have to pay $300.00 to get my septic tank pumped, followed by weekly pumpings at the cost of $200.00 per week until the project was completed. The soil scientist was kind enough to inform me that Freedom Plumbing was incorrect in their assessment of the drain field and that I should not have been put on a weekly pump and haul schedule and alluded to the fact that it was a money-making scheme. This project has turned out to be the single worst home repair experience of my entire 52 years and I have never been so disappointed with all parties involved. I am now forced to completely start the entire project over, spending countless thousands more that should have been completely unnecessary. If you need plumbing or septic repairs, this was my experience with Freedom Plumbing and I would rather build an outhouse on my property as a permanent fix than give them any more of my money.
Response from Freedom Plumbers and Pumpers - Inicio Facebook
"In response and for complete transparency, the following is the timeline of events: Home owner has a septic system that is deficient. An inspection with mechanical excavator was required to expose multiple components of the septic system. The inspection failed. Concrete Distribution Box cover was broken, D-Box was cracked and had roots, header lines to the drain field are crushed and full of roots. Drian field is saturated. Home owner was placed on a temporary pump and haul to allow for the septic drain field to dry in the hopes to restore service and reconnect the home owner to the field. Drain field failed to dry and showed need for replacement. Soil Scientist was recommended for the study of the property and submission of health department plans. Per health department regulations, no system is to be replaced with out Soil Scientist study of property. At this point, Freedom Plumbers remained on standby for the approved permit to replace the field. Freedom Plumbers interaction with the home owner was placed on hold. Somewhere between Freedom Plumbers last visit and two days ago (6-8 weeks), home owner called stating that communication between him and soil scientist had stopped. Freedom made an attempt to get home owner and soil scientist reconnected with out success. Home owner fired soil scientist and some how holds Freedom Plumbers accountable for the lack of communication from the soil scientist. It is important to note, the soil scientist is an individual firm not related to a septic company. Freedom Plumbers does not control the schedule or operations of a soil scientist. Home owner disagreed and holds Freedom Plumbers liable for that matter. Updated: The soil scientist was asked why the communication between him and home owner stopped. His response was that the home owner went three weeks with out signing the proposed plans or providing payment. Soil scientist moved on to other projects. Freedom Plumbers operates on a bedrock of solid integrity, transparency, education and high quality service at a reasonable price. All of our services a quoted before any work is to take place. Work only happens once the home owner understands what value to service they are getting and are ready to place their trust in our hands. We tried to help the home owner realize that the soil scientist and freedom plumbers are not the same firm. Unfortunately, the home owner believes other wise and chose to cut ties with all firms that had anything to do with the original findings. All while stating that it looks like we were not interested in his thousands of dollars of additional work. He also made a partial refund request based on those premises. I do not walk in to a job thinking about all the thousands of dollars I am going to make. I walk in to a job trying to understand the issue at hand while figuring out what options would be of best value for the home owner and the environment. Once the home owner started talking about my "lack of interest" for his Thousands of Dollars, I was already feeling uncomfortable proceeding any further. That type of conversation never ends well. No matter what resolutions or compromise is reached. We wish the home owner well in his continued search for a resolution for his septic system."

Dave responded the day I contacted them about a drainage issue. He ran a camera through the pipes and found the problem and showed me exactly what he was doing. Also very personable. The crew showed up two days later. So fast and responsive. The crew of Jose, Nemo, and Ernesto was professional, courteous, and worked fast and hard to solve the problem. And the price was very reasonable. Highly recommend Freedom Plumbers!
