Ignore Steve S.'s review. I highly recommend Fregeau. I am an architect and he has constructed several projects for my clients. The first thing I associate him with is consistent and reliable high quality. He does things correctly and I recommend him to every client. Unfortunately some clients have shied away because of the review of Steve S. above. Regarding Steve's review - Supervision and quality control of a subcontractor's work is the contractual responsibility of the General Contractor. We cannot know what went on between the conveniently unnamed G.C. and Fregeau, their sub. We can posit from Steve's review that the G.C. is unscrupulous, as they followed the cowardly but unfortunately common practice of not accepting responsibility for their own poor performance and instead throwing their sub under the bus to save their own credibility in the eyes of the client. A G.C. that would stoop to such tactics is likely to make it difficult for their subs to perform high quality work.

Avoid this Contractor ? A Cautionary Experience Ray was hired as a subcontractor to handle the framing on our new home build. Unfortunately, the experience turned into a complete disaster. The level of negligence and poor workmanship was alarming. Among the major issues we encountered: -No lateral or diagonal bracing installed on the trusses -Columns left unsecured to the concrete floor -Uneven and delaminating concrete pour -Multiple holes found in the roof sheathing beneath the shingles -Subflooring not properly secured to the joists The work was so careless and poorly executed that it raises the question: was this incompetence or intentional disregard? Either way, it represents a complete failure at multiple levels. Responsibility also lies with the general contractor who hired Ray and failed to properly supervise him?someone who, frankly, should not be in the business of building homes. Avoid this individual. Unfortunately, NH has few barriers for such incompetence.
