24 Hours Electric Service

On Tuesday, July 14 of 2026, in the afternoon, a request for electrical services was received from Angis List to replace 4 outside outlets that were damaged. Mohammed from 24 Hour Electric Services reached out to me from Angi's List on a cell phone. On the call, I asked for an estimate of his work, and he stated that he would have to see the outlets to give a real price for replacing them. Once he got here and reviewed the outlets, he said to replace them it will cost me $850.00 for all 4 outside outlets. He asked my boyfriend to taking to see the electrical panel of the house just to make sure everything was okay. Once he was in the basement checking the electrical panel. Mohammed proceeded to ask me (Kaisha) if there had been a fire at this house, and I (Kaisha) said no. Mohamed suggested other electrical work to avoid a fire. The work consisted of replacing the electrical wires to the existing outlets he was replacing. Mohamed said it would cost $4,000 total and 2 days of work. However, Mohamed said he needs a down payment of $2,000 dollars to get the materials. At this point, we paid Mohammed $850.00 (cash) for the current work that he finished, replacing the 4 outside outlets, and additionally $2,000(cash) dollars was given for the placement or running of new electrical wire to the existing outlets. I (Kaisha) asked for a receipt for the current work and details for the work. He said he would start that same week on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at 9 am. Mohammed promised to send both receipts via email later on that afternoon, and he never did. The fact that he never sent the receipts for both current work and future work didn't go well for me. So decided to cancel the next day and ask him to bring back my deposit of 2,000. Mohammed stated that he needed time to send back all the materials he purchased and asked for until 7 pm on Wednesday, July 15, 2026. So later on that evening, I called him, and Mohammed picked up, stating that it would take 2 or 3 days to get the money back from the electrical store where he purchased the item to do the job. I (Kaisha) asked him why I needed to wait that long since I paid you in cash, and Mohamed stated that he used his credit card and the cash from something else. I (Kaisha) was not happy with the response he gave, but I waited until Saturday, July 18, 2026. At that moment, this is when I knew this was going to be a problem since he never cared to send the receipt of his work. So, Saturday, July 18, 2026 came, and Mohamed asked to have until Monday bc he didn't have the cash, and that Monday, July 20, 2026, he would have the money and he would come by around 7 pm to bring me the money, and he never came. We tried several times to get in contact with him, and he is ignoring my calls. So, to this day, no money has been paid, and no work has been done.

A great experience. Met with owner, Mohammed within 1 hour of contact. He looked at job, explain the issues in plain English. Gave me several options to resolve electrical problem. Promised to follow-up with phone call after he got pricing on parts. Called me bright and early very next morning, we agreed on work to be done and pricing, he said he could complete today. Within 1 hour he started repairs and within a few hours, the A/C and entire home was up and running. He checked/confirmed that every electrical appliance had power. His work area was left clean and free of trash. It was a pleasure to have Mohammed in my home, a true professional

The power went out a couple of weeks ago and the main breaker was broken, and I went to Angi s list and found one who works after 5 pm - it was hot and my pet was breathing like she was dying without A/C, and he fixed it and came the next day and fixed the additional wires and charged me $3950.00 He then apparently scared me into thinking the house would burn down if all the wiring was not fixed for $18.500.00 and I paid him a $9000.00 deposit. He refused to give me a receipt or estimate despite multiple requests to him; he just gave me excuses why I could not have a receipt or an estimate. Then I found the sewer line from the house to the road was broken and I could not flush the toilet or put water down the drain and got estimates and it will be $7000.00 to get my water back, so I told the electrician I needed the money for that and would do the electric stuff later (another electrician said it could wait though PSEG did say the wiring probably did need to be changed) and I needed my deposit back. This started July 10th. Since then he has been giving me excuses why I cannot have my money back, all from he bought supplies with it (I told him to give me the supplies - that did not happen) to him saying it took two weeks for the bank to release my check because they were asking him all sorts of questions, to him saying the money was released and he would come over today at 11 am, and it s now after noon and no show. I messaged him yesterday as a reminder, and messaged and left a voicemail today, and no response. I gather he is just going to steal my money. Don't know what to do. Hire a lawyer, call the authorities, or what? Would appreciate any advice.

I requested to get a receipt for the work was done and three times that he was gonna email the receipt, its been almost a month and hes like hes refusing to give the receipt. I think he overcharged me for the work. My main purpose is to complaint. I just need a receipt.

They did a great job updating my fluorescent lighting fixtures to LED, and rewiring the switching to the lighting patten I needed. They were fast, efficient, and reasonably priced. I contacted them on Friday, and the job was completed by mid-day Saturday.

Quick, knowledgeable and excellent service!

We are closing out an open permit on a home that is for sale. We needed a GFCI outlet as well as a ceiling light fixture for a bathroom. 24-Hour Electric reached out to us, gave us a price over the phone and came to the residence the same day. When Arslan arrived, we found there was no power running into the GFCI. He quickly addressed and corrected. the problem. Prices were reasonable would definitely recommend.

All I can say is he seemed nice and he showed up to give an estimate right away but, I do not like being lied to, especially when doing business. The work could not be done because although I requested on ANGI in the comments, for company or worker with Nassau licensed numbers only and I asked Muhammad as well upon arrival al and he assured me saying "YES" its Nassau. When I go to the town to present the companies who will be all working on the project, I was informed that the electrical company is Not a Nassau number. I called and he told me his brother put the NYC # and he will send me the proper number later that day. Its been 2 days now and he didnt answer when I called. Not professional. I will not hire anyone without seeing the proper documents and the town verifying from now on. I do not think I should keep calling you when Im the client.
