Furniture Medic by Don Cook

Although I spoke with Mr. Cook by telephone, 2 times, and sent my request to both his text and his assistant, there was no mention of a $100 fee (not credited to future work) for him inspecting my damages due to a move. He arrived and after looking at the work I needed done presented me with a $100 invoice. I was blindsided. He did show me pictures of his before and after pictures of his work and his work was excellent; however as I was blindsided by his bill, I chose not to hire him -- his prices were about 50% higher than others and I did not like that I was not told in advance that there was a fee to look at my furniture.

Don's response time was outstanding. I emailed him on a Sunday afternoon and got a same day response, which was unexpected, but truly appreciated. The repair was challenging but Don did a great job and it is barely noticeable. Unfortunately it was a little harder to hide the repair on the front of the chair. I would definitely recommend Don!
